It depends on the definition of the vague term value. Shall we just wait for you to tell us which player is best value based on your crystal ball?
What makes Lamb or Chaisson best value there? The Lamb pick will be graded based on how he performs the next 5 years not on his value on draft day.
All I can say about the Lamb pick is that it looks like the Cowboys went BPA. Followed their board and did not get greedy trading down. Lamb looks like he can play and will help the offense score more points and is a good insurance policy in case a WR gets injured.

Literally Deandre Hopkins 2.0I think the testing numbers are overrated. He may not be the most “sudden” receiver. But there is constant tape of him just pulling away from defenders over and over again. He has the long strides and a crazy final gear.
So that’s a positive.
Plus his 40 number is very good, given his size. 4.5 for 6’2” 200 is very good.
The only thing Lamb has to worry about is when Vander Esch starts making his wolf call.

What's even worse than that is the dumb ***'es that post stuff like youPeople that lack reading comprehension skills really suck on this forum.
I'm pretty sure people said the same thing about DeAndre Hopkins and we all know how that ended up.First off let me say that if Dallas didn’t pick Lamb or Chaisson then they failed with their pick.
I had Lamb as my best WR in the 1st round but not necessarily the best fit for Dallas.
When I watch Lamb he is an incredible open field runner and he can win 50/50 throws.
Here is some of my concerns:
1. He’s not that great of an athlete..
4.51 40 and 34 inch vertical point to a lack of explosiveness. When you watch him he just kind of floats. He doesn’t have that quick suddenness in his route or a lot of top end speed to separate at the top of routes
Awesome.....@ least I'm not the only person that thinks that this pick is gonna blow up in our faces.
Thought maybe sleeping on it would change my reaction....nope.....Hate it even more. We get lucky to have K'Lavon Chaisson OLB/DE LSU fall into our lap....and Jerry goes for the flair pick. Just insane. So much for McCarthy having any influence.
He went with the highest rated player on their board. Not the flair pick. Don't be stupid. Lol
Dak likes WRs who create separation? Pretty sure every single QB likes WRs that can create separation.First off let me say that if Dallas didn’t pick Lamb or Chaisson then they failed with their pick.

2. He played with 3 Heisman candidates in a conference that plays no defense on the best team. We constantly got to watch him play in a ton of space.
3. Dak... Dak tends to like the separation receivers and isn’t going to throw guys open or give his guy chances to make a play on the ball.
Dallas got the pick right.. I’m just not as sold as this being a total slam dunk simply because I’m not 100% sold on what he does translating to the pro’s and our QB’s strengths specifically.

He probably should’ve worded it better.
Maybe it would’ve been more accurate if he said “his Athleticism isn’t elite”

I think just the opposite....this demonstrates McCarthy's pull completely. When he came here, he said he believed in talent over scheme...that you take the best players and figure out a way to make him succeed in your scheme or adjust the scheme. They clearly took the best player available. He will find a way in his offense to be a difference maker.
The old way would have been to panic and draft a guy for need that was nowhere near as good of a prospect. You should be ecstatic we took the best player available.
Classic case of somebody not know about the player or not having watched him play. Because anybody and i mean ANYBODY who has watched him play would never even think about saying this guy is not that great of an athlete. lol
Chaisson was considered by many to be second to Chase Young. When you have glaring needs on the defense why then choose this receiver despite his “talent”True with every pick.
That's the way the draft works.
