so you don't think we have player that don't give a crap?

A team that really wants it and cares doesn't go flat in a win and in situation.

I think that when it is your job, you've put in months and months of hard training, gotten hurt and played through pain, and when the reason for playing the game (despite what many think) is to win a Super Bowl, only to fail and not even make the playoffs, that is going to hurt and leave a mark.

We got our executed, coached, performed, whatever. But to say they dont care is a stretch IMO. Personally, I put that on Wades ability as a HC, but the same things are happening now as they were when Parcells was here, so I dont know how much merit that holds.

You'd have a point if we were talking about a really young team that had never been in this situation before.

But we aren't that. We are a team that has a ton of vets who know the stakes. Guys who care don't roll over in the biggest game of the year. Hell, guys who care don't roll over against STL and NYG just because their #1 QB is hurt. We saw give up performances at least three times last year. Guys who care don't mail it in 20% of the time.

Dallas has mailed it in for years now....old non leader vets get big contracts and then become a drag on the team. We have a number of veteran players on this team that need to be let go -- need to change chemistry. And we need to draft some blue collar guys to play on the O & D lines. The current players seem to take too many plays off during the game.

as bad as things turned out you look at next year and what the upsides are and we have not even had the draft or FA-
1. ST will improve--new highly regarded coach coupled with McBriar return, Keith and Pat W, maybe Polk too.....field position improvement the most notable improvement from 2008
2. return of Felix , a big play threat that defenses need to always watch out for.
3. improvement of Roy W as receiver...This is a must, he either steps up his game or Ray Sherman needs to earn his pay
4. Tony's committment to up his game and make the fans proud once again
5. Jason G looking at a better game plan that defenses would not be able to figure out so easily (see Ed Reed and Raylu comments)
6. return of Kosier to the line....it baffles me why he gets so much criticism but all the experts always talk about how the line suffered when he went down.
7. moving Henry to safety and Hamlin to SS, give Scandrick and Jenkins the playing time to earn there pay ...and we either draft or sign a ballhawking FS

I truly hope things play out better in 2009. If anything I would hope that the embarassment factor of 2008 is enough to make some f these guys try harder next season.

To me, there is a difference between being soft and not caring.

No doubt about it we are a soft team. Both mentally and physically. And that stars with the head coach.

Pro athletes are soft because they don't care. Period.
