A few pics of new stadium 7-15-07 *DUW*

We were going to my nieces house for my birthday dinner today, and drove by the new stadium. I had my camera with me, and took a few pics. I thought those of you who don't live in the area might enjoy!

Let me tell you all... this stadium is going to be MASSIVE!! The pictures do NOT do it justice. You can see the upper deck of the stadium while driving down I-30. After taking the pictures, I stood there for a few moments imagining what this place is going to look like when it's completed, and imagining the sounds of the fans walking to the stadium, the bands, everything. I cannot wait for the first game.

I apologize that these aren't the greatest pictures, but we didn't have a lot of time. I'll try to go back soon, and get some better pictures from different angles.

Thanks. Glad you all like them. I'm going to try to go out there again soon, and take some more pics, including a panorama picture of the entire thing. I wish I could get inside and get some pics from the field level, but can't afford the bail.

I love construction sites. They're alive and breathing things that rise around you. As a structure is going up you almost begin to feel the soul of the place coming to life. I tried to get a job with the Construction Company building that stadium, but they already had their team in place. It would have been magnificent to watch that thing grow day by day. The speed with which they are doing this is beyond impressive to me.

I'd love to be able to spend some hours just looking at the blueprints. Architects drive me nuts sometimes, but the guys who drew that are some I'd like to meet. It would be interesting to me to read those prints and get a feel for the project. I'd have loved that.

Weren't the plans made public since it is being partially funded by the taxpayers?
