I agree. He has done a pretty good job and Garrett puts him in so he must have confidence in him. I would let Cricket go and keep Crosslin.

Good call. We need more Tulius videos anyway.

Crosslin did look good running the ball compared to Deion. He bobbled two passes though. And he looked lost on occasion trying to block.

Yea he is still learning. One thing i notice is when he makes a mistake, his teammates let him know. So kindof leads you to think that they like him and see him as part of the team in the future. He was in alot of the plays from Fridays game.

Lattimore. These last two preseason games I'd like to see if he could conceivably:

1. Run and tackle somebody on special teams.

2. Lead block. He's kinda rangy though, I'm afraid he's not built for fullback. But I would like to see if he could do it.

3. See what he could do against a first-team D.

I just remember the Steelers game when we had to go with Tashard, with Coleman called up that week I think to back him up ... Hey you have to worry. .... Our RBs all have injury history. Choice missed a year I think in college with a knee ... Lattimore would have been nice when Barber was hobbling around too.

Wade has said "You keep your 53 best players..." but last couple of years we haven't kept the best 53 at cutdowns, the FO chickens out and keeps depth for insurance, and keeps pet cat draft picks around for their unrealized potential (you know who .... Marten, a certain WR, etc. etc.)

But is McQuistan really much better than somebody you could get off the street Week 10 if you had to? ... with that in mind: let's keep the Lattimores, the Oglesbys, the Jerheme Urbans, the Matt Moores around because they are less replaceable and may figure in your future ... Lattimore may be one of those guys ...

The problem is that there are always other guys at cutdowns let go by other teams that are better than guys at the end of your 53. Which do you dare pick up? ... I'm confused and going OT now. Sorry everyone!

Same here.

Only question is special teams, where Cricket is pretty good. Not saying Julius wouldn't be... Just never noticed if he is or not.

Every team has to deal with the numbers game and yes McQ is better than pulling someone off the street at the last min should injury take place on the OL.

I disagree. Lattimore looks better this pre-season than he did last pre-season. He looked tentative last year, which is not too surprising. That stuff happens to many young running backs. He looks much improved from last season. Seems like he took advantage of being on the Jags practice squad last year.

Still the 3 guys ahead of him in Dallas are better. He won't make it in Dallas, but he may be positioning himself for a back up role on some other team. Good for him and good for Dallas for having nice talent in place at the running back position.

Agreed. It's good to know that your RB depth is solid enough to let a kid like Lattimore (who has been running with some serious heart) hit the street.

Julius Crossin looks biggers, faster and better then Cricket and I like cricket.

Fullbacks pretty much have to be very good on ST or they don't make the roster.

Occasionally you'll get a non-ST'er that plays fullback like Lorenzo Neal because he's such a great blocker and was pretty good in short yardage. Richie Anderson avoided ST to some degree, but he served as a 3rd down back.

Without Cricket, the ST looked awful against the Titans. I don't know if that's an indictment against Crosslin, but that's what he faces. I liked what I saw out of Crosslin on the field as well.

I like Keon and I hope his play is getting him some notice from some team out there who could use him. There simply isn't anyway he makes this team because of us being 3 deep there. Outside of injury of course, as was already pointed out.

Nice Sig. Rickey was the man. His HOF speech was classic Rickey.

That has to be one of the most homeristic things ever stated on this board. There are only 32 teams so your saying Barber, Jones, and Choice are all top 4 RBs in the entire league. :laugh2:

No, that would be three of the top 28 running backs in the league.:laugh2:

The only way Lattimore makes the team is we trade one of our RBs or one gets injured.[/QUOTE]

Hostile what about Lattimore being used at FB, only in certain situations. Because most of the other times, the cowboys will use the double te formation or 3 wr formation.

I would rather see Barber at fullback in certain 2 back situations than Lattimore.
