* Well, one positive is that Felix finally got his touches and proved that he should be getting them every week. I think we'll be seeing more and more of Felix, and that's a great thing.

* I've long been a Wade supporter because I feel that what he brings to the defense is worth the negatives that he brings to the table. But then I asked myself this question: Would Jimmy Johnson be 1-3 with this team? Would Bill Ccowher? Would Jon Gruden?

* I cringe every time after a big play, because I feel like it's gonna come back because of a penalty.

* Miles Austin is awesome.

* We have more weapons than possibly anyone in the league. We get more yards than anyone. It's astounding how we find ways to lose.

* Tony Romo is a great QB, but games like these, he will undeservedly take the brunt of fan's venom. He was very good today.

* Penalties. If we cut down on penalties and mental mistakes, we are either 3-1 or 4-0 right now. I really do like Wade's personality and think he is a great guy, but this team needs someone who will instill more discipline.

* I think we have great players on both sides of the ball. I think we have players with high character. I think we have guys that want to win. I think our talent might be the best in the NFL. But there is obviously some sort of disconnect. Is it coaching? Playcalling? Motivation? Leadership?

* Demarcus Ware is on pace for a 24 sack season. Pretty cool.

* The playoffs aren't impossible, but we have to put together a bunch of wins right now. And the schedule isn't easy. We have the talent, and I'm an eternal optimist. But my expectations are, for the first time this season, low. I don't expect playoffs, I just don't know how we can turn around a 1-3 start, but I'm still hopeful. That's just how I roll.

We have a couple three guys with shots at the HOF. We gotta alot of very average to below talent elsewhere. Combination of poor coaching (particularly motivating) and over rated talent. The O Line and secondary are bottom half units.

 If that was his very good, I hate to see his average or bad.

Well let's see. Completed 65% of his passes, over 400 yards, and 3 touchdowns. That's pretty good. Oh but what about the interceptions you ask? Okay fine. You throw 3 INT's, some of the blame goes on you. But the first one hit his TE in both hands. The second one was tipped at the line because the LT didn't cut block the DE like he was supposed to. The third was basically desperation because they had to go 77 yards in 47 seconds, with no timeouts.

Oh, and he was sacked 6 times, and knocked down at least 6 more.

First Int. I agree its on Bennett. Second one, no its not on Bennett. He has to see that coming. Some of the sacks were on him, trying to make the a play.

So, sure it wasn't the worst game for him. The point I made is, ain't no way this is a very good game for him. It shows how much this fan base has been used to mediocre play, that stats take over what constitute a very good play.

Lot of fans never appreciated Troy Aikman, because of his lack of stats. Seems like now we have replaced stats for wins or winning play. Anyway, bottom line, Romo wasn't anywhere near the main culprit for the loss at all. But to say he had a very good game is laughable, just because he had good stats or lot of yards.

nice post.

always good to take a few deep breaths after a day like this and talk about the positives that are there.

one thing i would add to your list is that with all the struggles in our secondary today, Newman played very solid and did his job today. i think they made one catch against him and it was a short pass.

Yup. And anyone who wants Romo out of here needs to watch the Bengals, Bills, Panthers, 49ers, Browns, Bears, and Chiefs games today.

You start off by saying some of the blame goes on you if you turn it over 3 times, but then go on to absolve Romo of all blame on any of them.

I C WAT U DID THAR

That you even asked that question means you know the answer....which begs the question, why on earth would you be a Wade Phillips supporter (insofaras you define that as someone who thinks he is the right HC for this team)?

The bad news is that his talent is being wasted away ...and by the time this franchise turns things around, he will be retired.

This is what infuriates me about Romo-haters, not that you are necessarily one.

This team is hitched to Romo more than probably any Cowboys team has ever been put on a QB (Dandy Don?). Tony is this team like Peyton is the Colts. But TR don't play defense. TR don't miss field goals. TR don't make stupid celebration penalties. Romo is far from perfect but without him, it's 34-7, Titans. As it was we were in it almost to the end. Just imagine how good this team could be if it weren't dumb.
