On the Cowboys storyline podcast;

Just ripped the Cowboys for taking too many penalties and said this is going to bite us big-time in the playoffs. And if you don’t think so, you’re lost. The host just sat there and stared at him.

And he finished with “ that’s coaching”

That’s all I needed to hear you get exactly what he saying.

You can stack up all the 12 seasons you want but if you continue to lead the league and penalties, it doesn’t mean a hill of S.

Enough is enough now - it’s a disgrace.

Woody is my favorite player and he is wrong.

If the hold on Tyler Smith is a penalty, then the Bills should have been called for about a dozen holds.

The only bad penalty was the Williams one.

Of course, you want them to lose so you can point to things like this, but, ya know, you're wrong.

Darren is firmly in the Jimmy and Bill way of doing things

He didn't sad "bad penalties" it's penalties in general. And he's dead-nuts on.

Ok? Penalties have to be called.

They're not a problem when the other team gets called for the same garbage too - Dallas blows those teams out (i.e. Philly).

Micah has gone 160-something reps without getting a holding call, and we're going to sit here and act like Dallas has a penalty problem lol

Stay with me here. They're bad for our team when our team commits stupid, drive killing penalties.

Get it?

No one is talking about the refs here.

He should be, is the point.

To sit here and say that the Tyler Smith or DLaw penalties have anything to do with coaching is stupid. That's 7 points, at least, handed to Buffalo on calls that should never be made.

Those penalties are killers. If they clean that up it’s going to be hard to beat a disciplined team. Woodys absolutely correct.

The team wasn't prepared, that's also on coaching. So are gametime adjustments. So yeah, the coaching is also a culprit of an unprepared team.

They’ve lead the league or close to it for several years now. Can’t ignore that. Love MM overall as the HC but he’s got to start taking penalties more seriously.

There is nothing a coach can do about false starts or offsides. Holding, PI and those other subjective things just constantly go against them.

Like do people not remember when Travis Frederick called called for tripping TWICE against NE?

This team has been has been like this for years, especially when we are in the Red zone, you just know there will be a false start, holding..etc...the eagles game is a perfect example.

It's culture not coaching.

Penalties have been an issue for a long time, it's certainly not a Mike McCarthy thing. Want a different result gotta change the culture Jerry built. Maybe Jimmy getting into the ring is a start, hiring a real GM would be the next step.

You're wrong. It's already happened. Remember when guys like Tolbert were getting called? They fixed it. It's football, it happens all the time.

Every team in the entire NFL studies the official groups and their tendencies.

Bull. There is no explanation for the T Smith hold but the Bills not getting called for a single one. 0.

It's not some badge of honor to act like the refs are always right or don't impact games lol. I don't know why people are obsessed with that.

I'm sorry how does Jerry change the culture of holding penalties?

If anything, they get more just because he's the owner which...proves the point that refs are biased against them.
