he looks bigger in the jaguars uniform
Here's a quote from a Todd Archer article about our nickel defense:lostinomiya;1567178 said:Aaron Glenn showed great spark in the drills, building on a strong morning practice. The old guy still has his zip, though he seemed to tweak a hamstring or groin late in practice, gimping over the sideline and watching the remainder on one knee.
More evidence of Glenn sucking in camp.Cbz40;1577065 said:With the Cowboys, Phillips and Stewart said they have pieces in place to put together a top third-down defense, from the pass rushers such as Ware and Ellis to reliable veteran Aaron Glenn as the third corner. They also have the blitzing of safety Roy Williams and the coverage and pressure skills of linebacker Bobby Carpenter.
More about Glenn sucking:Bungarian;1573464 said:4:25 -- Aaron Glenn almost had a pick when Johnson tried to force an out route to Miles Austin. The ball went off Glenn's chest. ... Glenn, by the way, is lined up at right CB in the dime package. They put Terence Newman in the slot.
He obviously didn't show that he still had skills in practice. Oh wait..c0wb0y_m0nkey;1579189 said:3:05 -- You keep Aaron Glenn and Anthony Henry because they're the second and third best cornerbacks on this team.
Oh, you want some more?Cbz40;1590390 said:• Cornerback Aaron Glenn used all of his 5-9 frame to intercept a deep Jay Cutler pass intended for Javon Walker in the afternoon session.
Clearly, these are just aberrations, what with all the DAILY reports of Glenn sucking in camp.Cbz40;1590385 said:Backup Aaron Glenn is a genetic marvel and looks like he's 25. But he's not. He's 35, and he's scheduled to make $1.7 million this season. Although he remains in peak physical condition and is technically sound, at some point his body no longer will be able to hold up.

What the he777 !! Dude show me ANY post of mine thats been edited SHOW ME!!! Any post that has been edited will clearly say at the bottom of the post who edited and when it was edite. While I agreed with what the original poster said I clearly clarified a few posts later that it was not daily.I am getting REAL freakin tired of you calling me out when I know I'm right.Be straight up about it and look and if you see where I edited any of those posts I am man enough to come back and acknowledge I was wrong and apoligise. We will see if you step up if I'm right.Rack;1733596 said:Ok, all I'm saying is you replied to his post (the one where he said it was reported on a daily basis) with "I remember it".
And at first that's all you posted ("I remember it"). You then edited your post and added the rest later.
Fact is it wasn't mentioned on a daily basis or anything close to a daily basis. It was mentioned once or twice the whole camp.

"We played a lot [of guys] at corner to see who would do something," Phillips said, "and we didn't see anything."
Phillips said this week that he was concerned about the lack of quality depth at cornerback. Consider it a huge problem if Terence Newman's plantar faciitis doesn't get better.
The Cowboys attempted to address the issue earlier this month. They inquired about trading for Dante Wesley, but the Bears opted to send him to New England for a conditional seventh-rounder.
This is the first one I can find for ya Rack.I am sorry if it's not enough and if I made you mad I apoligize and if that's not good enough Oh well. I have 2 kids , one is a handicap so I really have better things to do than be the one to look for articles about something I allready knew.Have a nice day Rack .
Glenn had a bad game. Jones has a worse game. If you recall, this was mentioned at the beginning of this thread.ndanger;1733707 said:Aaron Glenn said he thinks the Cowboys have a good group of cornerbacks. A far cry from being reported "on a daily basis".
I don't want you to look for any more cuz I don't want you to waste your time. They aren't out there (not that many).

Having said that, Glenn was beat twice on the final drive of the game and both balls were overthrown, if either had been on target they would have been walk in game winning td's thrown at glenn. He was roasted by ike hilliard on a out and up. Glenn bought the double move hook line and sinker.
I wonder if there would have been a glad we didnt keep glenn thread?
Where have you been? People have been *****ing about cutting Glenn every week that Nate Jones gets abused. And that's, well, every week.StanleySpadowski;1733831 said:Sometimes I wonder if people expressing their opinions actually watch football games or just argue for the sake of being wrong.
No one who watched that game would be saying anything other than Glenn looked absolutely awful. He was beaten like a red-headed stepchild all game long but scores a TD thanks to being so far out a position that a terrible throw hits him in the hands and he's a savior.
Wonder why it takes some armchair experts until week eight to pimp Glenn? Simple, he's been so terrible that he couldn't even make their active roster until a ton of injuries. His guaranteed salary is the only reason he was still on the Jags roster. There was no benefit at all to cutting him.
theogt;1732695 said:Yeah, that was a remarkably stupid personnel move.

Glenn isn't a great CB. He does get beat. But he's better than Nate Jones, and that's the problem everyone has with cutting him.
No, but I've watched Nate Jones week in and week out.StanleySpadowski;1733863 said:Did you watch the Jaguars/Buccaneers?
