Take your pick, Sunday and/or Monday
When you live in the middle of Commanders territory, there's no better day than the Sunday when the Skins lose and the Cowboys win...unless it's Monday morning when you show up to work...hehehe.
Skins are absolutely putrid and pretty much done...Campbell's stats look better than he was today...they are truly awful at this point. Tampa Bay is just as bad, but their rookie QB made just enough plays to get two scores...one was a busted coverage and one bounced off a guy in the endzone to another guy...we will absolutely destroy them on Thursday...they have no offense at all...could be a shutout...no exaggeration.
The Cowboys were incredible today...first time in the past two years when we won a game of consequence, a game that actually meant a lot at the time. What I like most is the INDY defense totally stood up and pushed us around, shutting down our running game for most of the game, yet we still found ways to move the ball and score the points to win the game.
Romo's last three drives were terrific...he's the man. This game was the turning point in our season...almost every team we needed to lose today did...woohoo, and we finally played 4 quarters of fairly consistent ball to take advantage of it.
Roy, despite the fact that he knocked an int away from TNew and got beaten badly in the end zone by Dallas Clark for a TD, played his best game of the year...he was huge in the secondary delivering hits that I'm sure resulted in quite a few drops on high passes by very reliable receivers...guys had their heads on a swivel...great game Roy.
Burnett came through big on that int TD run...very athletic.
Most important of all, I give lots of credit to a coaching staff that let it all hang out today on defense and on offense when they could have been tempted to run...some great calls on our final drive, as if we were going for more points for once instead of just running time off the clock.
Hopefully, the coaches learned something about their players today as well...that they can be agressive and trust the players. Great pressure schemes up front while still keeping security deep so big plays couldn't be made...I never saw a Safety man up on a WR all game...woohoo.
Great Game...tomorrow will be a proud day to be a Cowboys fan in Virginia.
