A. Jackson in for visit

Does this signal that Parker is not satisfied with his talent pool at CB? This seems more like a desperation move than an infusion of talent.
I would say it’s neither. It probably a look for depth purposes.

You aren’t going to find all pro cornerbacks on the street on May 5th
unless you have them on a live feed with two forms of ID and 14 year olds partying. Maybe murder??

I would say the easiest way to teach is with help.

Bland
Revel
Moore
Cobie Durant

these guys most likely make the roster.the 5th spot is open with guys like Carson and Butler.I think its safe to say Jackson is better than both those guys.
Jackson's not really better than Carson at this point in his career. He's about league average these days. Seatbelt has more upside, so Jackson would be a progress stopper.

I don't think Butlers on the roster, but Bridges is. Durant and Moore are probably better than Jackson. Maybe he's a camp body to help coach these youngsters up?

He was god awful last year, although to be fair it seemed like he improved toward the end.

He looks like he's about to lick something he knows is sour.
He's got to get on his knees and kiss Jerry's crusty ol' ring!

I liked what we saw from Butler in 2024, but it was a very brief taste and we didn't get to see him at all last year. I didn't think Steward was awful. Zion Childress was a bit intriguing last preseason, especially as a nickel option. Don't really know much about or have any expectations for Ballentine or Kendrick

I could live without Carson and Bridges never seeing the field again unless they show vast improvement.

I can't say Jackson wouldn't be an improvement over what we have for a fifth option or even a fourth (since we don't know how Moore will turn out). That's not necessarily meant as praise for Jackson.
Big fan of Butler, I hope he’s healthy finally to compete for a spot. He’s a talented guy and he did play well in 2024.

It was just such a small sample, so I'm not sure what we'll see.

As a fifth corner that would be okay.
I'm not sure how much of a special-teammer Jackson is. If not, we'd only be bringing him in/keeping him in case there are problems with the projected starters. The fifth corner would be a depth guy who we can count on for special teams.

Normally yes, but he knows the system and can help the young guys. And from I’m what I read here, he did improve as the year went on last year. If he had anything left, he may be worth it.

I mentioned him post draft. He is a solid veteran reserve that can help with the scheme transition.

Right. I'd have no problem with bringing him in for that reason even if he doesn't make the roster. I'd do the same thing at left tackle, bring in a veteran just in case what we have doesn't work out and to give the younger players someone to learn from. We can always cut them, but we can't sign them if someone else already has.

...Parker's interest for sure. Im good with it.

i liked him at usc.
he was on my want-list in that draft.
