Unless the guy is 25 lbs overweight, this is such a non-"story". I know team activities are year-round these days, but it is April. Even if said player is noticeably out of shape, at least he showed up to OTAs.

Lastly, why didn't the reporter have the balls to just name the player?

No way it is Dez. He works hard. He's never been lazy. Stupid at times, yes. But never lazy.

He wasn't in shape last year. He was gased late in games before the injury. He is very fit, football shape is a whole different thing

You don't get in football shape if you miss most of the off-season work. You don't do the stuff that gets you in football shape because if you get injured you are out a whole mess of money. That's a product of his contract issues, not poor work ethic.

Not really worried about this but my best guess is determine who the next most important defensive lineman outside of the dum dums already suspended and that is your candidate for being out of shape. It's how this team operates.

McClain isn't a key player so hes out.

There's only 9 key players narrow it down.

I wasn't questioning his work ethic. He is obviously in great shape but he does need to work on conditioning more because that's not the first season he has had issues with conditioning early in the season

Looking at this picture, I would say he looks pretty dang fat. Looks like he's 270-280 lbs.

I don't know why anyone would be surprised that this mental midget would be out of shape yet again. He's a walking question mark and about 20 lbs from being a riding in an electric shopping cart question mark.

And it's not the first time he's missed considerable time in mini camps/tc... Because of injury
