www.sopcast.org

You can also actually buy a plug in that goes from your computer to your TV at wal mart or any electronical place. I dont know anything about the plug in except my friend has one and it works good. Especially for streaming PPv's

Anyways I dont know how great the Sopcast will be but its better than nothing and i've heard some people say its work very well.

So good luck trying to watch this game tonight and if this option just helps even one of you than I hope you enjoy.

If you're used to watching games in HD you'll be dissapointed. That being said, I can't thank the guys enough for streaming the games for us that normally can't get Cowboy games. It may not be the best quality, but it sure beats listening to it on the radio or tracking the game on the internet.

since I seem to be one of the unfortunate ones that will be in this quandry. What exactly is the plug in? Sadly sports bars are not really an option for those in the company of teenagers.

Like I said I dont know much about it other than its a cored that you can run into your PC to your television.

Its basically something that lets you use your television like a Computer monitor.

You hit full screen and you got a decent picture.

Its much better than listening to the radio I think.

the plug would need an output from your video card to usually a yellow (rca) input or RGB (3 rca's) to your tv. sound will come from your computer unless youve got an output from your soundcard to your tv/stereo.

to watch from soley your computer, www.sopcast.com or .org and install 2.04 or something like that and you can watch it in the windows media player.

You also watch the game on the NFL.com website http://www.nfl.com/live. I'm sure the quality will be much better than SopCast. Though I've heard that they show too many ads and other interruptions.

Like they interupt during the game and stuff?

Oh noooooooooo

If you don't have a video card with S-Video or similar out, especially those that use only onboard video, you can buy a VGA to TV converter at many stores like Radio Shack if you don't want to purchase a graphic card.

If you have a newer flatscreen TV it may have a VGA input, S-Video input, or HDMI input.

If your computer is newer, it will usually have a VGA output, a DVI output, an RCA output, or an S-Video output.

It's as simple as finding the cord that fits the format...You can use the S-Video cable, or a DVI-to-HDMI cable, or an RCA cable, or if your lucky...A straight shot with your VGA cable just as if you were using your monitor.

I was hoping that I might be able to find something to work via a USB connection, given the laptop doesn't have any of the previously named options for hookup to the tv.

glad I live in dallas and I have the nfl network.

I would imagine the cord is just an s-video or composite cable that could be used when your video card or chipset has the connectors to do it.

I have a ton of extra cords they come with every monitor and vid card I buy.

yeah i'll be watching on sopcast.. and you're right it's better than nothing. I did this for the atlanta game last year and had the actual NFL Network stream muted and listened to the radio broadcast.
