A Little Help What did TO Destroy?

If it's just about winning with him, then why did he complain about his MONEY just one year after signing a 7 year contract, and making it to the superbowl.


Sorry, but anyone that thinks TO is "all about winning" is in complete denial.

I don't think its all about winning with any player in the NFL. I think TO does want to win though. However, I think it's right up there with getting paid what he (thinks) he's worth.

I agree. My problems with Owens has nothing to do with his desire to win or get paid. It's all the other stuff, mainly calling out his teammates (you just don't f'in do that) through the media.

I'll add one more to it - TO wants to be the man in the city and in Philly it bothered him that Donovan was the hero.

As they say "An empire crumbles from within" and in my opinion TO was a major factor in the Eagles crumbling last year

Do I think TO destroyed the Niners all by himself? No. But he DID have a hand in it.

Do I think TO destroyed the Eagles all by himself? No. But he did have a BIG hand it that one.


TO may not destroy teams all by himself, but he sure as hell isn't the glue that holds teams together either.

San Fran a team in cap hell with a coach that has been fired from 2 jobs and a QB that has not kept a job since he stoped throwing to TO. I think Donahue and the new ownership destroyed that team.

Philly a team with an injured QB, no running game and a D that was not good all year and coming off the dreaded superbowl losing curse "The next year the losing team usually miss the playoffs". In retrospect Philly was not a very good team this year with or without the TO situation. What was Philly going to do last year anyway with Mcnabb hurt and no running game they were suspect to make playoffs anyway.

So how long does this curse of TO last if Philly bounces back next year how did TO destroy them, they still in good cap shape and they will be in the running next year for the NFC so whats the big deal?

No, he wants money. TO was underpaid by the Eagles. He is a top three WR in the NFL and wasn't getting paid like one under his past contract. Did his agent tell him not to sign that contract? If he did, then TO had not right to complain.

do we also forget terry glenn was a problem in new england after parcells left? give the guy a break. we have given second chances to plenty of guys. was irvins off the field encounters a cancer for the locker room? Andy Reid doesnt know how to take care of anyone on his team except donovan and personally i think garcia might be a *** as well. who cares? the reason ya pay TO? to catch footballs not bring harmony to your locker room. we have had plenty of characters come through dallas that didnt destroy our team. lets sign him before we declare the doom of our franchise. :trophy:
