A little short term satisfaction, a playoff birth, is definitely not worth the risk!

Jerry got a question, after the Chicago debacle, regarding would he be good with making the playoffs at 8-8 or 7-9. Jerry seemed to get a little agitated with the question. He sounded excited about the notion of being in the playoffs regardless of our record.

I am afraid if we make the playoffs at 8-8 or 7-9, Jerry will come up with some lame excuse to resign Garrett. I don’t want to take that chance! We need to NOT make the playoff this year, to give us a much better chance of getting rid of Garrett, and possibly winning a Super Bowl with a new HC.

If we get a playoff birth, are we also stuck with the placenta?

Philly is tanking just for this.

I don't think you're going to have to worry about this as I think there is only one scenario where the Cowboys can win the division at 6-10.

I approve of this message

Really! Garrett makes it to the Superbowl, Jerry would be jumping for joy and probably resign Garrett before the Super Bowl.
Why would I trust you? Do have some inside information no one else has?
And there’s something wrong with that????? Geeez, the Super Bowl IS the objective. I guarantee you’ll be as giddy as a schoolgirl before her first date night f they are in the Super Bowl this year.

I'm going to laugh if the Giants beat the Eagles this week.

Meh. Life is short. If by some miracle we win a playoff game or two I’m game. I doubt Garrett gets re-signed unless we either lose a close game in the NFCCG or make it to the SB. All of it very unlikely but tomorrow isn’t promised so just enjoy the now as much as possible.

Normally i would say what Jerry would say about getting in the playoffs. "Anything can happen once you get in the dance" Welp thats a lie now. We will lose the first game. Thats it. nothing more. We suck pretty bad.

Worse yet we may make the playoffs at 6 and 10? That's just sad in my opinion I think it's highly unlikely but it's possible ? I think there would be a major Revolt if Jerry extend him just because he made the playoffs

We will win the division. Make the playoffs and get bounced straight out. The only way JJ keeps JG is if we make the SB. The championship game would be iffy.

Because we are not making a SB. This team will make the SB like I hit the Power Ball last night and as my mom use to say when I ask her if we were rich growing up, she would say "we don't even have a pot to piss in". I still don't have that pot.

I am somewhat confident that unless the Cowboys get to the NFC Championship somehow, Garrett is gone. And even that would probably be enough.

There is just too much damage done. Garrett flirting with the Giants. Jones flirting with other teams.

There is also virtually no way this flawed and full of themselves team could ever do what you fear they might.

Jones wants to make the playoffs for simple marketing purposes. It is a lot easier to work with just the simple fact they got into the post-season.

I can’t watch this team another week. Between the coaching, complete dogs like Jaylon Smith, Methusaleh the Tight End, whiffing Xavier Woods, etc. I mean we don’t need them to play another week, I’m hoping the Eagles get hot.
