A lot of people have us going 8-8

I keep seeing analysts and people saying we wont make the playoffs this year because of our RB situation, and the "great" things the other teams in the NFC did. Did i miss something?
I haven't seen one yet. Please point me in the right direction because I would love to read some of them.

I'm so confused.... I thought all I had to do was say my prayers and eat my vitamins.

You and I both know Hogan was a total fake...
It's all about the eggs.
And the "Vitamin" injections... those were awesome too, but...
EGGS!
Step Up Man!!!

This team will only go as far as the running game will take it. If it fails the Cowboys will be 8-8.

Murray was average before we upgraded the line
Murray was always better than average, but he was never elite.
Let's call a spade a spade for once. The man is a damn good RB.
Damn good.
No one that will remembered as a best ever. No way.
But he was always better than average. The numbers bear and the eye test also agrees, It was always the injuries that got in the way, but that never took away from his ability.
Only overuse took away from that as last season went on.

Never glimpsed true elite-ness though...

Good. Let them think that. Whenever this team has any kind of expectations, they disappoint. Let's be the underdogs again.

Yeah, ok. This is just silly and I can't even believe I am responding to someone who would say such a foolish thing. He always showed he was special, go see his first 3-4 games as a rookie. They had no line then. He finally stayed healthy last year.
Very foolish statement.

OP you need to name names.

I know there are some, who have been comparing this off season(draft, Collins addition) to the 2008 off season, and their hoping like crazy the Cow 2015 season goes the way of the 2008 season.

What they don't understand, the Cowboys made the RIGHT decisions this spring(continued adding youth) as opposed to 2008, when they handed out a bunch of bad contracts.

For someone who doesn't really pay attention, it might be easy to think last year was a one-year wonder for the Cowboys... I still worry about falling back into 8-8 mediocrity and no real chance at beating the better teams. Even though everything is telling me, its different now. We actually can compete against the best teams in the league, and .......win.

Its been a long, long time since Dallas has done anything. Especially in December/January. Even the decent seasons we put together over the years, we ended up getting slaughtered in the playoffs. So, its hard for the mind to accept that the Cowboys might actually be good. Anything can happen in the NFL from year to year...Cowboys got lucky last year? Now Murray is gone and Romo will go back to passing and gun slinging.... injury bug will get them, the Gnats will be good this year, etc etc etc, the Boys will go back to being the Boys...... This has been going on for 20 years! There are 25-30 year old men, who know nothing but Dallas sucks and cant win in December/January, when it counts. This is all they have ever seen!

We will be in the thick of the playoff race. And with some luck, we might end up winning some playoff games..

You know if they fail, for whatever reason, you know what the world will say; They didnt pay DM.

That has yet to be proven. We think its the right way to go. But what if Gregory doesn't pan out, Jones is just average, Hardy gets into trouble, etc etc etc...... and we end up back to 8-8? Then, the decisions made were the wrong decisions, again.

All that becomes true, if Collins is as good as the hype, we still alright!

If none pan out, we still 10-6. This is a GOOD football team with a great base of stud talent!

Better defense better Oline, healthy QB, I think with all theses LB / athletes our ST will be as good if not better.
There will come a point this year when the leaves will be turning brown and Our defense will not only hold its own it will start delivering field position. When Hardy steps on the field for the first time , man I can't wait to see the havoc our line will be delivering. No body is going to want to play us.
Dallas 11-5. NYG, Was, Phi
