This. We had to score quickly and get chunk yardage when we got down 28-13 so we abandoned the run mostly. I just wish we would have given Zeke a chance on the last possession at 3rd and 3.

Did we run a single draw?

What is funny is some of the same people who suggested Elliott was a bad pick are the same people that are suggesting it was a good move to save him up.

What happened to run the backs until their wheels fall off? They are only good for a few years.

Bottomline is this, we made poor use of our best players.

When someone like Brice Butler is a big part of your early game plan, guess what, you did it wrong.

What would you have done differently?

We were down 21-0 to a bad team with very little offense in an early regular season game, big difference between being down 18 to a hof qb in a playoff game.
And tied it up. Problem being on 3rd and 19 our defense gave up a huge 35 yard pass that set up game winner. Knock it down or incomplete we won that game as well

This isn't a prescott versus romo debate. This isn't a Jerry Jones debate. This isn't a Jason Garrett debate. This isn't even a spiking versus timeout debate.

The debate everyone should be talking about is throwing short passes on 3rd and shorts instead of running and why we stopped feeding EE. Granted, we were behind most of the game, however when we were in the position to utilize our strength as a running team we were passing. When the game was tied or about to be tied we should of had EE converting 1st downs. DP was great and almost single handley won the game. Anti DP/pro TR can say/believe what they want but those are the facts.

EE was rested for a month and had the same amount of carries, on average he had for the year. What was the point of resting him?
We lost due to coaching, game plan, and play calling , time mgmt, game mgmt.
it is that simple, our players cant beat a good team like GB when the coaches make mistakes, bad game plans, etc.
Just look at the pass to cook on 3rd and 19, marinelli felt he didnt need anyone man to man on cook !! lol 3 man rush and
the soft zone, Rodgers loved that.

Then there is the offense leaving 40 seconds for Rodgers, and the spike, and no runs lol it was a joke.
Dak and ee etc made them look good during regular season, but in playoffs they get exposed for what they really are.
Happened in 2014 and now 2016.

Maybe Garrett didn't like the fact that he was getting a paltry 5 yards rushing per carry. I feel sick when I think about how much longer we could have just held onto the ball if we'd relied more on our running game.
