A moment of respect for Kirk Cousins

Yeah but not signing Dak has more to do with my big picture stance that includes QBs I viewed as elite. I don’t think any QB that hasn’t won a title is worth giving a contract to that holds the team hostage.

Also, you can just go through Dak’s numbers and look who he was padding his stats on.

This year is just different.. He shows up every week against every team through out the whole game.

100% correct on scoring throughout the ENTiRE game.

Anybody that doesn’t see the difference between this offense this season and a couple seasons ago where they failed to score 12 points in 3 winnable games and losing to the Jets and other scrub teams but hoisting up meaningless points when it was too late, Is being disingenuous

With the exception of some ball control issues, red zone miscues, and penalties, the offense is top flight.

Huge difference

You mean the offense looks better with JG gone?....yeah I think you have a million Giants fans that would agree with you right now...

I have never been a huge fan of his.. He's always been a stat compiler and loser to me.. But upon further review I gotta give it up to him. He has now evolved into that realm where Romo eventually got to in 2013.. He no longer makes the fatal mistake that loses his team the game.. He manages the game pretty well now.. He throws the ball well and cannot be fooled very often. I still don't believe he's put the team on my back QB but it would be intellectually dishonest to not acknowledge what he has become. His passer rating is tad inflated because he runs the WCO but he's got weapons and he finds them. As long as Cook is in the lineup to keep the defense off him he's dangerous..

Cousins is the quintessential system QB. People take that as a knock on the player but it should not be. Not dynamic but capable of slicing and dicing at a highly efficient clip. Reminds me of Jeff Garcia when he had his run in the early 2000s.

This looks a lot like confirmation of my initial assertion that Cousins was a stat padding loser. Great stats.. loss..

People said the same thing of Dak, until this year when the Cowboys roster around him got better and deeper.

Dak has had a winning record for his entire career.. Therefore anyone calling him a "loser" is simply being stupid. I don't know of a cure for that level of stupid. Cousins on the other hand has had a losing record for most of his career while putting up decent stats..

2019 Cowboys Dak didn't have a winning record
2020 Cowboys w/Dak playing didn't have a winning record

I don't blame Dak for either of those because I recognize it's a team sport. It's also a team sport for Cousins.

Dak is better than Cousins, imo, but it's interesting to think what Kirk could do with Dallas's line, receiving depth, backs, and Kellen Moore offense.

Might be every bit as interesting to see what Dak could have done with Theilan and Diggs and now Jefferson while having Cook in the backfield.. Oh and a defense that went #5 in 2015, #6 in 2016, #1 in 2017, #9 in 2018, and #5 in 2019 .. So certainly a top 10 receiving duo in Thielan and Diggs and then Thielan and Jefferson and no worse than a top 10 running back .. maybe top 5? And let's not act like Kubiak is some rube at OC.

What differentiates Dak from Cousins to me is three things.. One Dak's leadership.. I just think he inspires people in a way Cousins just can't. Two his mobility.. His ability to run for key first downs or just run out of trouble and create on the run is a huge advantage for us.. Last but not least his football IQ. Dak is already at or above the level of command as a field general as Cousins despite 4 fewer years of experience. And he's still getting better. Again I don't think Cousins stinks or anything like that.. He's just not as good as Dak for the reasons I've outlined. You can win with Cousins. You can just win more with Dak.

I respect his ability to make bank. Crazy.
