I was one of the late August predictors and pessimists who guessed the Cowboys were destined a 6-10 or 7-9 season. I am red-faced and ashamed that I sold them short. Shrewd drafting and a premium offensive line will do wonders. and the sideline presence of Marinelli.
What Im elated about right now is our QB. Tony is going to get another shot at going deep in the playoffs. Life is about overcoming adversity, obstacles. He did. If anyone can handle celebrity and the big room, it's Romo. He made several throws Sunday not many in the NFL could pull off. Be happy for the guy. Class act. Get it done, Cowboys. I was so wrong about this club.

I fully expected 5-11 as set out by Phil Steele. I didn't see any way this defence could stop anyone. I am very happy to be incorrect to date (although they still could end up 5-11 ;) )

Your not the only one. Sit back and enjoy the rest of the way as history is made.

I stated in another thread that the only people that correctly predicted that the 'Boys would be where they are now were either total football morons or total football geniuses. This is such fun!

Be they (ones who predicted success) football morons or geniuses, I take my hat off to them. All I know right now is that Romo and the Cowboys might just be getting us ready for amazing December weekends. If they can continue the winning road magic, what a special season they're putting together. NFL films library stuff.

I had 7-8-1. There are concerns, but who isn't happy with 5-1?

I want them to win the superbowl just so I can watch the nfl films superbowl video for this year. What an amazing storyline it would be.

No worries. A lot of us were wrong, present company included. Then again, I was wrong last year and the year before going the other way. One way or another, lots of us will miss every year on this stuff. The truth is, none of us knows.

Enjoy the ride and let's see where this takes us.

I don't foster those that predicted 5-11 records any ill will. I can't even say if I ever posted a record projection. If I did, I am guessing it was in the 8-8 to 9-7 range assuming no serious injuries. I did have an issue with the people that just completely disregarded the chances to be improved, especially on defense. Too many said no Ware, no Hatcher, no defense. Complete disregard for the heart, character and determination of the coaching staff, the players we had and the players we signed. One guy in particular that has done nothing but mock the faith in the defensive coordinator, say every player we added in free agency was a scrub, complains about the guys we drafted as being a bunch of bums and just can't seem to find anything good in the team he claims to be a fan of. His idiotic comments and predictions of a crappy record won't be forgotten anytime soon.

The biggest thing that seems different this year is that we may be having some reinforcements arriving instead of constantly having players go down. On defense, we just got Spencer back and he has improved in every game. Seems like Crawford, Melton, Selvie and T. McClain are getting healthier every game. We still have Lawrence, Brent and Okoye on schedule to possibly return. We have a positive bye week that should be a good break.

I am looking forward to seeing if this team can keep the momentum because it sure seems like we are getting better every week.

Too many said no Ware, no Hatcher, no defense.

I cant blame Hatch for taking the money and taking care of himself and his family but i wonder how he feels about that decision right now. That being said things could change dramatically by week 16.

I can't either....same with Ware.....he had a deal but we couldn't afford it. Wish him the best. None of that matters now. We are a different team these days. And yes, the story of this season is far from written. It would be a surprise if we collapsed because we are winning with execution from the offense that is putting pressure on the opposition to match us.

We just took on the toughest D in the league and pretty much had our way with them. It's going to take something significant to derail us IMO.

I predicted 8-8. I'm encouraged by the team's recent play, but I'm not amending my prediction until I've been proven wrong. The season is still long. One injury to Romo and we may be looking at 5-11.

This was the only shot hatch had at big money. THE ONLY ONE. He would have been an idiot to turn it down. end of story.
