Procter still around?........NOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

He's Free Reign's drummer. We can't break up the band!

I don't think anything would give me more pleasure than to know we released him, other than trading him. ;)

He's proven that he's terrible. I don't know what they're waiting for.

I'm pulling for Marcus Dixon, to have an impact this year. I hope the kid gets a break and comes thru for us.

I think you need at least one more DE. If one gets injured, the other tow will have to play the entire game with no rotation.

We may go short on the OL or WR.

You've got 6 CB's listed HoS... I was wondering how you kept Hodge

Yea I don't know if you can get by with 6 Dline.... I looked at this lastnight...

It's a Quandry

I agree with this except that I believe that Johnson will wind up beating out Stanback and possibly even Hurd for playing time and honestly might wind up being our #4 pretty quickly.

Are you cutting Ellis or trying to trade him for a Sandwich?

i wonder how much whining we'll here from him this week.

If Stanback doesn't show anything, I'm going with 5 WR's, if we get that low on WR's we can
run two TE sets even more, and we can also motion Felix out.

That's pretty much how I see it, except I think Proctor, Ellis and Watkins are gone with the draft picks filling up the space, and add a 3-4 DE or NT.

I wasn't expecting to feel this way, but that D-Line looks so much thinner and with so much less depth without Canty there.

Hopefully it works out.

I know tank didn't do much, but just the fact we've never seen those other guys at DT is what makes the line look thin to me.

Proctor is our backup center, he sticks

Ellis will depend on Spencer and the rooks

You think they see Hodge as a safety?

I expect Rodney Hannah to make an impression in camp/preseason as a receiving TE. There was some talk from players last year that he was uncoverable. Do we really need a FB?;)

From what I have heard and read Hodge is another ILB type and not a SS and Deangelo Smith is going to play safety or maybe that star type tweener position.

Bowen and Hatcher aren't that bad.

That's what I was thinking on Hodge and Smith I know that said would play both.

It is my understanding that they drafted Hodge as a LB (they actually put OLB on the card as opposed to satefy) and I think in post draft interviews someone said they intend on moving DeAngelo Smith to safety. I think Coach Joe D said that along with the idea that he would probably do Punt Returns along with Newman.

yeah, Hodge as LB'er and Smith to safety, which he played early in college.

Smith's nose for the ball will maybe help us generate some interceptions in the defensive backfield. With his size, Hamlin can go back to playing strong side where he excels in that mid-range of the field generating turnovers and stopping yards after the catch.

If Stanback doesn't improve a lot, then I don't think we can give him a roster position any more. We can only tolerate his injuries if he looks like he will be productive when healthy. If he is still a question mark, then we can't waste a spot on someone who is injured. Keeping 3 TEs, 2 of whom are great pass catchers, may allow us to go light at WR and only take 5. Plus we have Felix who can line up out wide.

Problem here is we don't have a backup center.

Think we have to keep one more DL somehow, unless we consider Brandon Williams as a potential LB/DE swinger. He'd have to bulk up a little bit to play DE, but I think he could hold the spot in a 4 man front. He is a speed rusher, though, and wouldn't offer much as a 34 DE.

I think I heard them wanting to make Hodge a nickel backer, which may be the way we go to free up a spot for a kickoff specialist. If you figured that B. Williams can be a DE/LB swinger, and you consider Hodge a S/LB swinger, then your covering 4 roster spots with 2 guys.

Please give me Hawkins over Ball. Ball is my goat on this roster. I can't stand him.

I think Watkins may lose his job. M. Hamlin and Watkins will be fighting for a roster spots at safety. Watkins may beat out Hamlin who then maybe could be snuck on to the practice squad.

So we have K. Hamlin, Sensabaugh, Hodge and the winner of M.Hamlin/Watkins. If we need a 5th safety, we probably will swing D. Smith to safety.

I think the key to this roster is going to be people who offer scheme diversity and can play mulitple positions like Felix, Bennett, B. Williams, Hodge, and D. Smith.
