Despite the opposition's lower percentage numbers appearing favorable, I expect the Colts, NO, Dolphins and Bills to be significantly improved in 2015. We also play both 2014 Super Bowl teams this year, including playing the Packers and Bills, not to mention the Skins at their stadiums in DECEMBER. At New Orleans, Brees was hurt most of last year and should be healthy in 2015. The Dolphins have Suh, Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills and are expecting good things from an improving QB, Tannehill. The Bills have Tyrod Taylor, LeSean McCoy, Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods (both fine WRs) aside from their stellar defense. To augment Andrew Luck, the Colts have TY Hilton, added WR Andre Johnson and also RB Frank Gore.

Understand that I'm not declaring we'll be up against any overwhelming opposition, just don't really don't put too much stock in our opposition's won/loss percentages as being true reflections of their current capabilities. I'm fully anticipating we'll be able and competitive with any and every team we face in 2015. I just think it might be a bit tougher than it was in 2014.

We don't agree on Buffalo and NO, which is fine. Buffalo's running game wasn't the problem last season. Neither was the defense. It was inadequate QB play. They have gotten worse there. Significantly worse imo. I just don't see them improving.

NO is basically the exact opposite. QB play and scoring weren't the flaws for that team. The swiss cheese defense was. They are probably worse on that side of the ball. If not its a push at best. For all his troubles, Gillette could rush the QB. They also lost 2 serious weapons on offense.

Miami will be better and a tough game. No disagreement there.

The opening day loss to SF last season was due to 4 turnovers and the defense not stepping up and keeping SF out of the endzone. Had the defense held SF to a couple of FG's instead of allowing them to score TD's the Cowboys would have had a chance in the second half despite Romo being off. Kap dissected the Cowboys defense like Joe Montana in the first half and Boldin looked like Jerry Rice. The Cowboys pass coverage looked like a repeat of the 2013 season. As for the loss to Washington that was due to the Cowboys not being prepared to play and taking them for granted. It was a classic trap game with Colt McCoy starting you could smell the stench of an upset a mile away. Even before Romo got injured that game was slipping away.

The defense sucked allowing yet another Journeymen QB to have a career game. Romo's health had nothing to do with that loss. As for the OP blaming the Philly loss on Romo having little rest he better go check and see how poorly the defense played. If anyone looked like they needed rest it was the defense because all they did was sleep walk the entire game. The Cowboys D gave up 26 first downs and 464 yards of total offense making Mark Sanchez look like a viable NFL QB. The Cowboys were completely dominated in all phases of that game. All some FANS do is come up with excuses for every Cowboys loss.

Dude couldn't win an argument with an old shoe and has taken it on the chin so much that he's turned fan into an epithet. Can't make this stuff up. Curious how he keeps reading posts from people on his list.

I no longer have a list I have too much fun proving some of you wrong. You can't make a good argument which I just proved by shooting down all your excuses. Romo's health only played a part in TWO of the Cowboys losses and that was to SF and AZ.

Nah, actually you just got proven wrong. You made no mention of the Cowboys poor defensive play vs SF on opening day pinning the loss on Romo's health. You blamed the Washington loss on Romo's injury when the fact is the Cowboys struggled the entire game prior to his injury especially defensively. When Romo went out of the game the Cowboys were behind. McCoy shredded the Cowboys defense the entire game and they couldn't stop him in OT. Just a decent defensive effort would have won that game for the Cowboys.

All true. Makes me truly hope the additions and bring-backs on defense this offseason will help that side enough to allow a RBBC to be viable this season.
Otherwise you and me may have some blood pressure issues and you know what that means...

Time to thin the blood with prescription Scotch! Good, aged Scotch preferably...

I think you need to read the actual posts you're talking about. You went on an ill-informed rant about the 49ers in your first post, said Romo's injury was to blame for SF in your second post, and went back to the well again in this post. No wonder you're always arguing with someone on here, you're adopting completely contradictory positions in each subsequent reply.

You need to carefully read what I said in my first post I pinned the SF loss on the 4 turnovers and the defense. I went on to say Romo was off and that was obviously due to his health. You made no mention of how poorly the Cowboys defense played during the first half of the SF game you pointed squarely to Romo's health as the reason for the loss. In my second post I said Romo's health played a "part" in the loss to SF. Never did I deny his health didn't play a part in the SF loss in either post but you're just looking for something to nit pick about. The point I've made is the losses weren't solely due to Romo's health the defense contributed heavily to those losses.

You my boy Blu.

The absolute hilarious thing is that @ufcrules1 has me blocked because last year before the season started I told him we were going to be good and have a good season. He said he needed to block me because I was blind if I thought the cowboys were going to be good and there was no point in continuing conversation with me. Fast forward 1 year and looks like jokes on him. Hahahaha

Yeah- he threatened to either block me, or told me to block him a couple of years ago for something, and I was actually agreeing with him on the subject!

Imagine that! We ended up having a laugh over it, but still...

Lol it pathetic. His reputation preceded himself. Before I ever joined this board I would pop in from time to time just to read some posts and 1 thing i could always count on was his irrational hatred of Romo. Some things still haven't changed lol

We lost those games because we were simply outplayed by them. No excuses.

Oh you mean the Washington game where the starting QB broke a bone in his back and the following game where the starting QB was replaced by Brandon freaking Weeden? Not to mention the obviously unhealthy starting QB in week one in SF. There's a difference between excuses and reasons. Like how you're running out of reasons to be a Romo hater and filling the void with excuses.

UFC was one of my biggest supporters on this site he gushed over so many of my posts that a few people thought I had 2 usernames and was using one to support myself. He praised me daily until we disagreed on one topic and he promptly blocked me. lol I was forced to block a few people because of repeated personal attacks but I would never block someone because they disagreed with me. I wouldn't haven't anyone to have discussions with if I did that. :)

Points well taken and I suspect Tyrod Taylor will take his lumps here and there, although I think there will be improvement over Kyle Orton (12 games) and EJ Manuel (4 games) when all is said and done. Playing the Bills in the frigid temps of December surely won't help our cause either. I think they may well be far more competitive than most of our fans have come to expect.

The health of Brees is largely what I foresee as making an applicable difference with New Orleans. That, in itself, would be a boost for them. Their defense should be simplified, which might also prove helpful to their cause.

I also see the Colts as a team we'll have to get past in the playoffs. It shouldn't be nearly so easy this time.

Hopefully, these competitive difficulties I mention won't come to pass and the C'boys will manage to prevent any and all unnecessary losses. I am simply stating the reasoning behind our fans not taking anything for granted. Ultimately, I'll be hoping and praying for Cowboys victories in each and every game they play.
