Coaches get afraid to let “kids” play because they are afraid they will fail, and it will be “on the coach”. On the other hand experienced players flop too. That should carry equal weight against the coach.

How about it carry weight against the guys in charge of personnel? That's the problem. The GM and Director of Player Personnel can screw up a million times and never get fired. So instead they fire coaches.

Give the fans a scapegoat for their own stupidity and protect their own egos at the same time. It's no mystery why this team doesn't compete for championships anymore. The reasons couldn't be more obvious.
