Who has a possibility of being there when we draft that can end up being a superstar? Similar to Parsons or Lamb? If we pick at 11 and some of the QB's move up as the draft draws near we may have a shot at a superstar. I just don't know who that could be.
 
As long as we’re not cute and force need there will be a stud available in the 11-15 range.

Do you think we have trouble in the red zone? If Tet is still on the board when the Cowboys are on the clock, they shouldn't waste any time running up the card.
 
I think your first pick has to be a dynamic playmaker.

Jeanty, a WR, or a pass rusher.

No linebackers, corners, or anything like that.

The Michigan DT I would consider because he can get after the QB.

Here is the problem, might be less then 5 legitimate blue chip talent in this draft class. The only one that has a chance of falling is the RB, which makes little sense with a deep class this year. Quite frankly, it is kind of like the class in which Lamb was taken, but they chose to take the top guy. If he does fall, he probably won't get past the Cowboys, but is expected to go higher.

Honestly, I don't think that guy will be available in this draft for the Cowboys. Jeanty may be the only possibility, I see, but who am I.

That is my problem with using it on a RB, the position in football that history shows is fading by the time he is thirty at best.

You look at the all time best seasons for a RB and of the top 50 it was done only five times by those 29 and older
the oldest was 31.

Five years is really all you should expect as regards top production from a RB

so taking one in the first rd is simply not statistically intelligent

Jeanty or one of Georgia kids on defense. The real playmakers are going in the top 5. Hunter, Carter, Graham have potential to be walk in stars.

That Lamb draft was when the world went crazy. If the scouts got to meet these kids at the combine CeeDee would have been a top 10 pick. Instead teams went with the Alabama boys. Thank goodness.

Not only that, look how Zeke got worse every year after his rookie year.
The year we took him at #4, at #5 Derwin James is still playing great football now for the Chargers. And Zeke will be outa the league.
Cannot use the #12 pick on a RB !

SFO passed on Lamb and still got Ayuik at the end of the rd, was a great receiver class. Believe Jefferson also was taken behind Lamb

Jefferson was 6’3 and ran a 4.3 forty. If there was a combine he would have been drafted early as well. I remember some Florida cornerback was supposed to be the man that draft. Scary…..

Either you think Dak is the guy to take you to a SB or you don’t.
I don’t, but apparently Jerry does since he just made him the highest paid player.
If indeed that is what you think as the part-time GM, then you don’t worry about a 2nd contract and you put the best players around him to achieve your ultimate goal.
That’s why Jeanty makes perfect (Dak needs help) sense if there when you draft at 11 or 12.

to be fair that BS suspension ruined that year for him; he was starting off real well

The thing is jeanty won't make a difference in the postseason when teams take the run away. So what the point? I think cowboy fans can say regular season wins vs weak teams don't move the needle anymore. Jeanty rushing for 200 vs the Giants is ehhhhh. We know when we see the chiefs next year our only hope is the defense shutting Mahomes down. They will suffocate Jeanty
