CFZ A review of our offense

Agree. Very solid starting roster at this point in the offseason. But I'd like to see new talent push these guys off the roster:

Tolbert, Fehoko, Alarcon,

I have no clue about Josh Ball as player.

Alarcon hasn't ever been on the roster. He doesn't even count on the practice squad and is on there because he's a Mexican National.

Tolbert has the tools to be a starter, way too soon to give up on him

Fehoko is already Noah Brown's replacement on STs and as a blocking receiver and he's developing as a WR.

This is an 8-9 offense with a 13-4 defense after the additions of Cook and Gilmore.

Therefore as of right now I see 10 wins and a Wild Card loss UNLESS we get another 8-9 team for an opponent.

Funny how for decades we were comfortable with our offense & now it's shifted to the defensive side.

I'm not as comfortable with our TEs as a lot of y'all are, but they don't really make me nervous.
We'll see if they sign a RB in FA. Going by what I've read about how many good RBs will be available, I think we'll definitely draft at least one - even if we do sign one.
The Oline seems to be everybody's bug-a-boo. Tyler should be better than last season regardless of if he plays G or T. Badass hasn't quite lived up to his nick name, but he has improved each year. How soon Steel is ready will be very important. How long Tyron holds up is just as important. Even though I'm not one of those who thinks he can't last an entire season, it's been a problem that can't be ignored.
Gallup hopefully will be 100% & back to being a viable weapon again. I expect greatness from Cooks, but I don't watch the Texans so we'll see. CeeDee should show even more this year.
The backups don't float my boat at all so hopefully we aren't done in FA or find some bodies in the later rounds.

Taunting aside, its simply the truth that Zeke had roughly 50% of carries and played the lions share of short yardage situations. Not to say Pollard can’t handle more snaps or convert short yardage situations but we haven’t seen it, not in College nor the NFL.

I do think there is an element of not wanting to burn him out (or any back) over the course of a season, and setting him up to succeed but Pollard is bigger than Dalvin Cook, about the same size as Bijan. There’s no reason to think he can’t be an all rounder.

Yeah, the brutal truth is that Zeke was a top 5 running back for probably only 2 years before he started to decline. Heading into year 4 there were definitely signs but it wasn’t clear cut yet.

Really, we shouldn’t have pandered to the Cabo hold out. We should have taken the 5th year option and even planned the franchise tag, twice if we had too. Anything to avoid a long-term deal on a RB with so many miles (high school, college and NFL combined). But Jerry has his favorites.

I liked Zeke, but hated drafting a RB that high in the draft. It was fun the first 3 years, even with all of the drama. Jerry's battle with GODell has cost us as much as Zeke's 2nd contract.
