I was just looking at the NFL stats and realized that of all the teams in the playoffs, the Cowboys had the best total defensive numbers and the best rushing offense. Of course, I realize that this is only one game but still, we rushed for 154 yards, we gave up only 230 yards total, against the team that is representing the NFC in the Super Bowl, and we lost.

The Giants averaged 327 total yards against GB and Tampa. Against us, we held them to 230 total yards of offense. The Giants defense gave up an average of 48.5 rushing yards per game against Tampa and GB. We put up 154 yards on them.

They are in Arizona and we are sitting home. It's a hard thing to accept.

MB ran like a Rolls Royce in the first half; then like a Yugo in the second.
Our O line got its lunch eaten in the second half.

Go back and watch the 2nd half again. It makes me absolutely sick that their offense did nothing that 2nd half besides score a TD on a very short field (around our 40) after our ST's missed tackles. Absolutely nothing.

Our offense, on the other hand moved the ball very well but either shot itself in the foot or got screwed by a bad call here and there to stop things.

Its probably already summarized somewhere but I intend to watch it one more time and chart every play to summarize how understand just how lopsided that half was, and yet we lost.

In the end, we have only ourselves to blame. I think we'll ultimately grow from it but its painful right now.

your killing me, will this ever end..everytime I try to move on....... these threads bring me back,,,Giants fans here know we outplayed them the giants know we out played them... We have to learn it takes a whole season including play-offs to get where we want to BE

Well a couple of things I notice MB was out of gas in the second half promoting those who favor two back theory, and als I think we really miss our fullback, Anderson got hurt and the other guy really has neck issus i think he's about done. I also would throw in that I would go after FA wrs as oopsed to drafting, even if we get a oung vet, let's be like the PATs, and draft the cbs and a rb.We should flat out be deep with cbs and rbs, you need alot of cbs in todays NFL..

The Giants didn't know we outplayed them when we beat them twice during the regular season. Some of them kept insisting they were the better team. Then we outplayed them a 3rd time, but somehow lost.

:starspin I agree with you about needing depth, especially at CB. If we pick up a WR via FA, fine, but we also need to bring in a WR through the draft as well, IMO. While Valley Ranch seems high on Stanback, and he may have the physical tools, etc. that we've all heard about, but as a WR, he's still raw and who knows if he'll ever become an NFL caliber WR.

Our O line got its lunch eaten in the second half.

Our offensive line wasn't really doing anything the first half. Barber was breaking his runs to the outside, and the OL wasn't creating anything for him.
The Giants just stacked the line after that and blitzed. That is why Marion Barber was pretty much stifled in the second-half.

Now that I think of it, Dallas' game may have been to rely on the run-game, because our receivers clearly weren't themselves. They couldn't get the push they wanted. The Giants may have realized this and adjusted, and key'ed in on attackign Romo and stopping Barber.

Blame our OL and Tony Sparano... Be glad TS is gone....

Should there be any criticism levelled at Jason Garrett? His vaunted O sputtered down the stretch averaging only 11 points over the last 4 games including the one against the Giants.

At first I thought it was one of the more embarrassing losses...but have been getting around to more of it being a totally unacceptable loss. (what am I to be embarrassed about?)

No, I don't have to accept it...and I'm not.

From this point, I'm from Missouri...the Cowboys have to show me. The benefit of doubt is out the door.

Only a fool would accept 12 years of no playoff wins. Or a sheep. Or a foolish sheep.

So draft who you want, sign who you want....they don't win a playoff game next year, they're no better than the Cleveland Browns.

So are you saying you want to see some Missouri sheep?
