why? 33 years of this crapLast year we knew the defense would stink. All the off season moves pointed towards it.
We have to give this years D a chance.
It’s not your opinion …it’s fact… the big statement most fans were saying is… it can’t be any worse… well it sure looked worse…no pass rush … can’t stop the run and look completely lost in the secondary… yup that’s the Dallas defense, and what a great time for the offense to take a dip.The defense still looks bad in my opinion. We can't play from behind.
I know what kind of team this is. It's the same one over the past 30 years. This schedule is brutal to start the season. I am telling you the wheels are coming off fast. The team is poorly coached. Soft. Unserious. Dumb. 3 plus decades of the same thing. We're 1 week into the season. We have no idea what this team is. There are people on this forum calling for the DC to be fired after his first game as a defensive coordinator. Nevermind the fact that this defense has been terrible since Quinn left. A bit of perspective is important when evaluating performance based on a very limited data set. Maybe they get it right, maybe they don't, but calling it a lost season after week 1 is a loser's mentality.
Bigger headscratcher was the dime he threw the play before thst that Pickens just dropped. The interception was a head scratcher. Definitely swung momentum back towards NY, and they rode that wave for the rest of the game. QB1, a ten year starter, needs to know better at this point. The taunting penalty needs to be addressed in front of the team. Don't know if the HC has the stones to make an impactful impression, but it could be an opportunity to wake the team up. Consistently ranking among the highest penalized teams in the league is embarrassing. Something has to give if they really care about taking the next step.
