A silver lining

Last year when the defense got the beatdown we all kept waiting for adjustments that never came. What coverage was that? NY is an average team at best and will be proven in next weeks game when they get their butts kicked. I really struggle to understand that in game adjustments can't be made on defense. Communication? Where? They didn't get together on the sideline with the pad out to discuss what went wrong? No! Just march the same crap out there every series. They probaly had 3-4 plays they ran all night (run up the middle, pass in the flat, slant) it's not that complicated man. Reminded me of last years games when the opponents offense scored everytime they got the ball. Pass completions with no defender within 10 yards. I thought I had traveled back in time to last year at one point during the game. Just a gutless effort out there tonight, Dam!

The defense still looks bad in my opinion. We can't play from behind.
It’s not your opinion …it’s fact… the big statement most fans were saying is… it can’t be any worse… well it sure looked worse…no pass rush … can’t stop the run and look completely lost in the secondary… yup that’s the Dallas defense, and what a great time for the offense to take a dip.

We're 1 week into the season. We have no idea what this team is. There are people on this forum calling for the DC to be fired after his first game as a defensive coordinator. Nevermind the fact that this defense has been terrible since Quinn left. A bit of perspective is important when evaluating performance based on a very limited data set. Maybe they get it right, maybe they don't, but calling it a lost season after week 1 is a loser's mentality.
I know what kind of team this is. It's the same one over the past 30 years. This schedule is brutal to start the season. I am telling you the wheels are coming off fast. The team is poorly coached. Soft. Unserious. Dumb. 3 plus decades of the same thing.

Is Williams a pass rushing option? Other than one game I’ve never really seen anything from him

Losing is one thing, looking like the defense never played a football game ever is another

The interception was a head scratcher. Definitely swung momentum back towards NY, and they rode that wave for the rest of the game. QB1, a ten year starter, needs to know better at this point. The taunting penalty needs to be addressed in front of the team. Don't know if the HC has the stones to make an impactful impression, but it could be an opportunity to wake the team up. Consistently ranking among the highest penalized teams in the league is embarrassing. Something has to give if they really care about taking the next step.
Bigger headscratcher was the dime he threw the play before thst that Pickens just dropped.

Or how about the 4 exact same plays in flat with zero coverage.

Or the 2 pressures with 4 man fronts?

Or Kenny and Q virtually invisible and pushed around all night.
