I was going to post this yesterday
I have to wait to take advantage of excitement...today, step on the Rams! After the LAR
Last loss___2022 opener v. Tampa Bay...Cowboys went 8-1 last season at AT&T.
After the Rams this afternoon, the remaining home slate is:
Giants
Commanders
Big Mac will keep it going today and out coach McVay. He's got this one circled on his scheduleThe Cowboys are hoping to keep a surprising streak alive this Sunday vs the rams. The streak? A 10 game home winning streak.
The Cowboys now have a decent 68-47 record at home all time in AT&T. But when the Stadium opened in 2009, one of the weirdest things that happened for almost a decade was the Cowboys not being able to defend their home stadium. From 2009-2017 the Cowboys were 37-35, but since then they‘ve gone 31-13.
Whatever any of us think about Mike Mac, the Cowboys have been much better at home under his coaching. Let’s hope the home winning streak moves to 11.
The Cowboys do have a tendency towards creative play.Cowboys have also won 15 in a row on turf.
I would like seeing the team play with more grit on the road for that reason. Getting a number one seed is a huge achievement but it is not a guarantee. The best approach is having greater fortitude and consistency than your opponent in order to beat them inside their house. That stance will get you to the promised land no matter how well you play at home.Playing well at home is one of the signs of consistency that marks a really good team. However, unless a team has the #1 seed, being able to win on the road matters even more.

I recall an adage for pro sports (NFL, NBA, MLB) go at least. 500 on the road plus winning 75% of the home games = a very good team that usually wins a division and / or makes the playoffs.Playing well at home is one of the signs of consistency that marks a really good team. That’s pretty accurate. Especially for a team to make the playoffs. However, unless your team is the #1 seed in the conference, to make it to at least a conference championship, you have to be able to win playoff games on the road. The Cowboys won their first road playoff game in 30 years last January when we beat the Bucs in the wild card round.I recall an adage for pro sports (NFL, NBA, MLB) go at least. 500 on the road plus winning 75% of the home games = a very good team that usually wins a division and / or makes the playoffs.
Recall the 2007 Giants and 2020 Buccaneers__That’s pretty accurate. Especially for a team to make the playoffs.
