it'll be easy to fit him in.

let's see... $18M SB, 6 yr $50M. the first year cap hit will be ~$4M.

release hamlin... savings of $4M. that was easy

Easy and stupid.....

I think I heard Spags say that we are paying Carp like $3m this year, and for us to trade him, we would take a cap hit of $4m. So I don't think tht Carp is going to get traded. I'm not sure how Adoyele's contract is structured. But I would rather give up a 2nd day draft pick along with #28 to get Roy. I'm glad we got Thomas, but I'm not ready to say that he can make it through the whole season.

I hadn't thought of Fasano going to Detroit, but it makes sense... Fasano would make a much larger impact on a team without a Witten... Also I think most are pretty high on Tony Curtis too...

I like Carpenter, but I think he'd do alot better in a 4-3... I think he'd be a really good player for the Lions, and it's a position of need for them... As soon as I heard that Detroit wanted players as much or more than picks, I thought Carpenter... And I'm sticking with that, I think he will be dealt in combo with a pick for Roy Williams11...

I'd give them Carpenter, and a 1st for Williams... Fasano and a 2nd... Williams is about to emerge as a GREAT player! Draft a WR if you wanna, but Rookie WR's typically have little to zero effect in their first year. We need a WR that can step in and be a top-notch #2, or in this case a 1b...

Throw in PacMan, Kenny Phillips and Jamal Charles, and its Lombardi #6! :starspin It's SuperBowl or bust baby!!

Pats got Moss from Oakland for a 4th was it? So wouldn't that set the market for a player like Williams? I mean I understand the Raiders wanted to get rid of Moss but if he is worth a 4th why are we talking about trading a 1st for Williams?

In short.....It just doesn't work that way.

Does DET really use a TE at all anyway? Looks like they could use a LB'er more:

9 Cannon, Anthony LB 6-0 228 23 3 Tulane
55 Davis, Buster LB 5-9 239 24 1 Florida State
58 Fincher, Alfred LB 6-1 238 24 4 Connecticut
54 Gardner, Gilbert LB 6-1 228 25 5 Purdue
53 Lenon, Paris LB 6-2 235 30 7 Richmond
59 Lewis, Alex LB 6-0 230 26 5 Wisconsin
50 Sims, Ernie LB 6-0 225 23 3 Florida State

Sims is pretty good, but who are the rest of these guys? Carp or Ayodele might fit nicely into this no-name bunch.
I love your sig pic. Nolan was my all time favorite player.

Good point about Carp. Detroit is running the Tampa scheme, which allows the Linebackers to flow to the ball rather than try and take on blockers. Carp would probably be a better fit there.
