Some people use being pissed off as a motivating factor, some let it consume them and lose focus.

I think we are about to see which one Mo is.

When you're hurt EVERY training camp it's tough to develop. I wonder what could've been if he was just able to stay healthy and get those much-needed reps.

Thursday morning show on the ticket was talking about this. I didn't catch all of it. But supposedly someone, not sure if a reporter or an agent. Said, Mo has been fighting injuries every year since high school. Rather during the season or preseason, they didn't specify.

But they did call BS on that statement. Reason being, how could you go through college and become a top NFL prospect being injured every year.
however, the type of injury or the extent was not specified.

I didn't check into this story, as I really don't care, especially at this point. All I want to see is for Mo to respond positve, and go make some plays that helps this team win.

I hope Morris Claiborne has no one to turn 2....or feels like he has no one else to talk to on the team about this situation. Except for OScan..i feel like he can learn alot from scan and scan from him...what y'all think??

Competition brings out the best (or worst) in any player. Period. Bottom line, more clarity is realized with regard to that players ability to deliver. OScan has shown that he can rise to the occasion and elevate his play when faced with a competitive environment at his position. Mo has shown that he throws a nice rich boy temper tantrum.

It has been a true pleasewe assure witnessing my boy Oscan's ascent over the years against all odds and much fan opposition. He is a true competitor.

I couldn't care any less about flag boy.

I think we already know.

Do we? 6th pick in the draft handed the job and when healthy assumed he was the starter. Think he got a pretty good wake up call this week, with Jerry's comments and being told he is Not the starter.

Maybe it makes no difference, but I'll be watching.

Broaddus isn't a fan of Scandrick's overall. I think some of that was coming through. Hard to say, but it's pretty hard to have sympathy for Mo's antics this week.

I can sympathize with the pressure the guy feels to be great. And I'm sure he worked really hard in the offseason to try to put his best foot forward. It stinks that he's not better when he's doing what he can, but walking out is not a solution.
Will be interesting to see how he performs this week, though. He's getting his man-card tested on Sunday, that's for sure.

I'm revoking it right meow.

yeah but they made it seem like there was a personality clash there. they took claiborne's side b/c they said scandrick's attitude issues will grind on you.

Mickey is always sticking of for Mo ... he acts like that's his adopted son.

absolutely this. He is either gonna get over his bruised feelings and attack NO, or he is going to continue to fail....let's hope he uses it as motivation...

I can't wait to see. Especially since all eyes will be on him. He's either gonna shrink or shine.

I agree with you about Broaddus, he said himself he hasn't liked Scandrick for awhile (off the field). Mickey obviously has been sympathizing with Mo.

As much as I bash Mo, I watch him speak to the media and you can tell he's a gentle hearted person so a part of me feels sorry for me. I agree with the caller who said they should have given him the N.O. game to prove himself again before making the move. I think Jason really likes Scandrick though and his entire approach to the game.

I agree with you about Mo, but with the Saints which is going to play a lot of 3 wide he is going to get a lot of snaps.

Scandrick's prickly attitude is the stuff of legend among the media guys. They've talked about it since he was a rookie. He had the "me against the world" attitude when he first entered the league, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's what got him two contract extensions and has outlived other more highly drafted candidates at his position. And I'm never gonna grind on a guy because he's a jerk to the media.

But being an *** to your teammates who you have to play with is not necessarily a good thing, though. That said, I've read Jason has put Scandrick in charge of fixing what ails Mo, so we'll how that works out.

I agree with your statement in bold. Part of me feels like he should be doing something other than football because it does not fit his personality. The other part of me hopes he can find the internal drive to succeed at the profession he has chosen. I'd like to see him succeed.

Sounds like the storyline for a mini series.

I think this is a fork in the road moment for Claiborne he either goes into a shell or he comes out like gangbuster and proves himself as a playmaker. He put himself into this situation he has to dig himself out. I do think he will get the support from guys like Scandrick but I also think many others will be there for him and support him

There was a DMN article quoting his mentor in Louisiana who said he'd been injured every year since high school. I don't recall him suggesting it delayed his development, but it may have been implied. I'd have to look it up. But based on other stories, I've read. The timeline went like this: Basically Mo left the building, called his Mama, prayed a bit (per him), cooled off a bit, and then returned to Valley Ranch. By the time that article was published, he'd already been back to Valley Ranch and apologized to Garrett. He was "awol" a max of 8 hours. lol

That might be why Claiborne stormed out. he got his spot took but Scandrick might have ridiculed him for taking it.

Yes, I have a feeling that Scandrick was somehow involved in getting Claiborne worked up about the issue.

Yep this was my theory too kev.

If you really decipher Mo's PC from the other day, he didn't apologize for how he felt about the situation only for leaving his teammates out to dry. He still feels he was slighted by HOW he was told. I think he was told in front of Scandrick and the rest of the DBs instead of in private and I wouldn't be surprised if the big alpha-dog Scandrick man a smart-a remark about it.

Whatever it is, Claiborne needs to use this as motivation, stand up and be a MAN.

Hopefully, this ordeal is a catalyst for Claiborne to change his mindset. IMO, his problems are all mental.
