Ya can't just throw a switch in the big games if you haven't practiced your focus in all the games leading up to the more important games.
If you listen to the players talk after a game, I don't think this team embraces the attitude that just winning is fine. From hearing players talk after victories like the ones over Washington, they know there are things that need to be improved upon and are ready to work on those things.
To say "a win is a win" is simply recognizing that they ARE difficult to come by, it doesn't mean that you are satisfied. I think it's arrogance on our part to assume that the players have not been trying to put together complete games and dominate the opposition, that they have not been working on putting teams away.
That they have not been able to do it might say more about our overall talent level or our schemes, or even the team trying too hard to overcome perception about its play in December.
I just don't buy into it being a product of Dallas not being focused for 60 minutes.
