Wouldn't mosquitoes be a major issue during the zombie apocalypse?

They bite a walker than a non-walker and wouldn't it infect the person?

Mosquitoes aren't scavengers. They "drink" live blood. Zombie blood would be coagulated (sp?) and eventually just dried up after awhile.

However you got ME thinking... a bunch of rotten corpses everywhere... walking through streams, fields, etc... disease would be out of control and it would be extremely difficult to find fresh, clean water.

never pays to examine any entertainment show too closely. In a real pandemic, the diseased die off in a few months at most. How long has this been going on as regards time line on the show?

Even if there was a disease that killed people and caused them to re animate as flesh eating corpses, a walking dead like apocalypse is completely impossible.

I think if they bite a walker, then they turn into zombie mosquito and start munching up on fellow mosquitoes?
You would think right but actually no. Once a mosquito bites a zombie, they also become zombified and immediately start trying to eat other mosquitoes.

Who knew?

That was my exact thought as well

No everyone carries the gene but it requires a catalyst to trigger the turning...otherwise bites and scratches would not cause people to turn.
Perhaps I'm way off base, but I thought death was the only catalyst. Victims suffer after contracting diseases or sustaining injuries but they do not turn before expiring. That has been my observation anyway.

I love The Walking Dead but the show's zombies are punks compared to the undead in World War Z. Heck, even senior citizens turned zombies sprinted like Usain Bolt in Z. Crazy stuff, but lots of fun. :)

Number 1 is pretty much the only one that matters to me.

I don't believe for one second that walkers could just stampede and overtake government buildings lol.
