These two games this week are all about getting wins. No matter how ugly or pretty.

I am not greedy I will take it, and I also think the team will improve because of it.

the cardinals got blown out 3 times last year and gave up 40 plus points each time to the jets, eagles and patriots yet they still went to the superbowl.

If we continue to play defense the way we are playing we are going to be alright. I suspect the turkey day game is going to be very tight also and all I care about is getting to that 8th win.

Season begins in NY on December 6th. All we need is the team not to screw it up thursday.

Give me a break. The offense is totally broken and we have yet to see anyone with a clue how to fix it. Its not that we squeaked one out in a well-played tight contest. Our offense didn't even show up between the first and the last drive.

Bite Me.

Plays were there to be made, guys just made some mistakes today.

Romo was off
Williams is all over the place.
Austin ran into coverage instead of sitting down wide open against a zone....ball was thrown to where he was supposed to be, just a mental mistake.

Barber fumbled on the 12 yard line when we were dominating.
Leonard Davis for about the 4th week in a row got beat pretty bad here and there.

Its just the way it goes sometimes. the good thing is the defense is playing great and there are plays being left out there. We will make those plays again in the future. I am not worried about the offense.

linksy...I understand your frustration but as I said these games are always close no matter the record..how do you think the skins felf when our one win in the 1-15 season was against them...and if memory serves me correct the skins won it all that year but they lost to a 1-15 team...every team has something to work on its a short week take the win and lets move to the raiders...i mean the steelers lost today...wow...

I agree with you. The story of the Superbowl Champs is not written in the regular season. There will be close games. There will be loses. We played good enough to win this game and we were in it the entire game. We need to improve though. We left some points on the field. Weren't able to convert on 4th down, Barber fumbling in the redzone, folk missed a field goal.

Real mature with the Bite Me comment. Seriously, you are fine with the offense's performance? You think they are going to just magically turn it around? What gives you that confidence? I agree that in years past we would have lost this type of game, but the only reason we didn't today was we were playing the lowly Skins.

Thanks, i was going for the mature angle when I wrote it.

I dont think anything is going to get "Magically" fixed, for two reasons.

1. I dont think anything is broken or screwed up.
2. The guys on that side of the ball will keep working and fighting.

Sometimes you have to do just enough and today they did. If barber doesnt fumble we probably score there and its a different game, but he did, barber made a mistake then just about everyone else took a turn making a mistake.

they are all easily correctable mistakes. The problem is not a major issue, like pass protection, or poor players or whatever, they are execution problems.

The skins rolled in here with a good defense and played well. They had momentum from the win and played their last big meaningful game of the year. Watch how bad philly beats washington next week. This will be it for the skins. One giant effort and most likely nothing from here on out.

I believe the players will improve and make those plays down the road.

Amen. I don't think people appreciate how good that Redsk*ns defense is.

More importantly, I think in the past these tight games are ones that we have found ways to lose.

Our defense is fantastic right now.

1.You seriously think nothing is broken? Seriously?

2. If the mistakes are so easily correctable, why don't they ever seem to get corrected?

I thought I just explained it. Yes I think it is and will be corrected.

Why dont they seem to get corrected? Well todays problems were different, so They will be corrected hopefully in the future? no?

the mistakes today were mistakes on execution by the players, I think this team has shown it will fix problems on offense and play better and I think that will be the case here.

You must think the economy is actually getting better also. Every year since 2006 our offense has gone from feast to famine and nobody knows what to do about it. Its seems to be happening a little earlier this year and we actually won a game when it happened, so maybe it will go differently this year, but we have seen this play before. It leads to 44-6 beat downs with the playoffs on the line.

links---several things on both sides of the ball need tweaking..enjoy the fact they won the game and watch the raiders play the bengals and get ready to watch our team on turkey day..they won and right now that is all that matters...this is our third game like this..this year...giants..broncos..we finally won one...take that as a positive:)

so your ultimate point is that todays win is going to lead to a 44-6 loss at the end of the season?

Good defenses beat up offenses and make it hard. If the offense makes their own mistakes on top of that it makes for a tough day. that is what happened today.

tough game and they did enough at the end to win.

All we ever hear about is how Dallas cant take a punch and keep playing, well they did again today. Yet now it turns into we suck for a different reason.

If you think we are now going to lose the rest of our games and get blown out, thats fine. Good for you.

Care to explain yourself, rather than just hurl insults. I know you live in Germantown, but I wouldn't do too much gloating tomorrow, it was a pitiful performance by both offenses.

Totally agree, our offense is terrible , we are fortunate to get a win.
