A word about our free agent signings

I guess you missed the part where Henry gave up 5 more TDs last year

how about the part where Carolina had 41 sacks

btw, Henry had nearly triple the pass-deflections and only 1 less INT

combining the 2's INTs and pass-deflections of the past 2 years, Henry has 36 plays on the ball compared to Lucas' 22

so you wanted us to overspend for an aging Willie McGinnest, Julian Peterson who was a big risk being only 1 year removed from a horrible injury, or have us sign LaVar Arrington?

I would have preffered Julian Peterson or Will Witherspoon, yes

not a 3-4 LB

but you would be a hypocrite if you wanted us to sign Peterson, or unless you knew all along that he was going to be fully recovered from his injury and would go onto have a great year, he wasn't a sure thing like you so claim you want us to look for when signing FAgents

Yes, because as we all know, INTs are the end-all of CB production

Good players adapt, Witherspoon would be fine

And maybe it's just me, but Julian Peterson was not nearly the risk that TO was

a player coming off an ACL injury is always a huge risk, see Dominick William's career being in jeopardy, LeCharles Bentley needing to have another season-ending surgery, Daunte Culpepper not being the same etc.

other players have recovered fine, but it's still a risk that a player won't, and if they do, they might not be nearly the same, but of course you knew Peterson was going to be a force again

I'm accouting INTs, pass-deflections and the 2 team's pass-rushes

what have you brought to the table?

I think Peterson was coming off an achilles injury which is even more of question mark and he got a lot of money from seattle. I wanted him last year, but I thought they could get him for a better bargain because of the injury.

I dont think any of the guys you mention as big names guys that Bill brought in were brought in for numbers..
They were high character guys brought in to mentor the young guys and they all did that...

For the ONE THOUSANTH time: Wahle wanted to go to Carolina; we would have had to have spent a lot more to get him to come here- A LOT MORE.

what? how do you "know" their talent is lurking? you are really digging here.

How can you possibly say their talent ISN'T there? I didn't call it a dead-bolt cinch that they'll show that talent, but it's a possibility that all Leonard Davis needed was a change in scenery and coaching to bring out a reservoir of untapped talent. It's a possibility that Ken Hamlin's 7 picks over his last two full seasons will manifest itself in the free safety we've been looking for. There's a great deal of possibility there.

If your concerned about Romo's mistakes do you want Garrett to open it up more? and what are they going to open up? we had two 1,000 yard receivers and scored plenty of points.

No I said I think he will open it up more, maybe some gadget plays.
