He did not cost us this game. Stop projecting your fantasies into real life. The Washington game at the end of 2012, he clearly cost us the game because in addition to the end, he threw 2 earlier interceptions that were even worse than the last one, and just generally did not play very well. You can get down on your knees every night and pray all you want, but he didn't cost us the Denver game. The defense did.

Seems obvious, but tunnel vision can be a disease.
They lose by 25-30 that game, minimum, without him.

It's an informed one.

We all think our opinions are informed. I know mine is. I have had several Romo homers right here on this site come over to the realist side. But I've never seen a Romo realist go to the homer side. I look at it as them just seeing the light for themselves. I was once a Romo homer too.

I'm really not sure what stats have to do with anything. Tony Romo has made a lot of crucial, game and season ending blunders throughout his career. He's also made miraculous and incredible game winning drives. Unfortunately, the game winning drives came in games with less on the line.

So it's wrong to put your $108 million QB in tough spots and expect him to get it done? God forbid we expect our "franchise QB" to get it done when it counts.

no use reasoning with them. now you guys know why I call them romo stans. i almost had a heart attack from laughing so hard at the OP.

this thread as expected becomes a blame or don't blame Romo thread. What are the room haters going to do when he retires? Probably kill themselves. They clearly have no othern reason to live other then to hate Romo.

we will celebrate and support our new young stud qb. lol at you thinking anyone is obsessing over romo. we wish we could forget his whole era!

This was posted earlier in the thread, but some of you must have missed it. In the losses, Romo has a 91.5 rating, the highest in the NFL since 2010 in losses. Our opponent's QB has a 107.9 rating, which ranks 30th.

That's our quarterback 1st, our pass defense 30th.

The smart people get it, the dumb people don't and will continue to plug their ears. It isn't worth the effort because you're dealing with a crowd that puts 100% of football success on one position and when all evidence proves them wrong they just move the goalposts. There's a reason they've labeled the pro-Romo crowd "homers" and the anti-Romo crowd "realists", it's because they are looking to settle the debate with psychological names in advance of bringing in any factual evidence.

Crayton ran his mouth but didn't run that route full speed all the way. He also dropped a wide open 3rd down that would have been a huge gain.

What part of "MOST GAME-WINNING DRIVES SINCE 2011" do you dense folks not understand?

When you're CONSTANTLY in the position of having to lead game-winning drives, you're going to come up short at times. The guys on the other team get paid too.

Maybe if we had a D that was as good as our O, we'd be regulars in the playoffs and eventually we could kick the door down and win it all. NOBODY wins anything with a bad D. If you're waiting for a QB good enough to do so, you're in for a long wait.

How did Eli Manning do this year with a bad D? How 'bout Brees with a bad D last year?

I had forgotten about that one. I haven't paid much attention to it because it's really almost a team stat, but when you couple it with the fact of Romo having the highest passer rating in the losses, and the defense ranking 30th in those games, it leaves little doubt as to what's been going on with this team.

Dallas has never come out and crushed a team definitively when it had too. That's why we are in "what-ifs"....
