Not sure if this has been talked about previously, buy is there any interest in getting this guy if he is, as speculated, let go by the Saints......He is young enough still, and has shown flashes in the past, maybe a chnage will be the thing to get him back on track.....not sure if he would be a back up to Drew or if he is a BP kinda guy.....but I would like our QB to have some mobility and this guy could be had as a FA.....

Our options are Drew Bledsoe for the next few years, we have no backups, like most teams we are done....Henson and Romo are stiffs.....we either buy our next QB or draft a guy in the next year or two....

No, he's a bigger joke of a QB than his cousin Mike.

As a backup sure. I bet the Saints wish they had hung on to DelHomme and not given Brooks that big contract.

Hindsight is amazing isn't it?

As a backup sure. However, I don't think Bledsoe is that much better than he is. They are both Average.

I'm sure Jerry wished he offered Delhomme more money too..... especially since we've wasted money on Eddie George, M. Wiley, A. Thomas and P. Price since then.....

He would be fine as Bledsoe's back up..

I rarely have seen Brooks play, except for highlights. What is the deal with this guy, I actually thought he was good. Please, someone who has seen him tell his flaws ?

What's it going to be then, eh?

He makes the type of mistakes we used to hate Quincy Carter for.

Does that help?

I'd take almost any qb before Brooks. The only thing he has going for him is mobility. I'd start Romo or Henson before Brooks.

He has way more skills than Quincy Carter. His arm is pretty good, and he's pretty quick on his feet at making decisions, I think he needs better coaching if you ask me.

Oh he has mobility alright, problem is he usually runs the wrong way... 20-30 yard dropbacks resulting in a sack or intentional grounding comes to mind.

Heck, no. Other posters have me convinced that Dallas should bring back Vinny. He is clearly the best available talent. :ralph: :D

Nobody said to bring back Vinny, they are saying Bledsoe is marginally better, if at all, and I don't necessarily disagree. But that's another thread.

You speak as if you know first hand that Romo and Henson are not NFL worthy. C'mon now, you know about as much as the rest of us "Armchair QB's" when it comes to our backups. Nothing.

Both Romo and Henson have a lot of upside. You can forget about Aaron Brooks. He will not want to be a backup in Dallas. He will want starter's money, whether that is in New Orleans, or anywhere else.

Bottom line, Brooks is just another Q-Bong, without the off the field issues.
