i know this isnt really a cowboys topic, but you saw what he did to us when he played us. remember, it was aaron rodgers who almost came back and won the game for the packers while favre was hurt on the bench. ive followed his career for a while and i am a firm believer in a rookie QB sitting on the bench for a season or two. see, steve young, romo, garrard, etc. and then theres the ones who got thrown in the fire and failed. see leinert, leaf, eli, plus many others. aaron rodgers has been on the bench for like 4 years or somthing. he is ready for sure, and he has a very good and young team. looks like good new beginings in green bay. what do you think.

Basically Rodgers has been an afterthought for everyone, that was until that showing for a 1/2 in Dallas last year. While not being a GB insider, I think it is safe to say he hasnt shown much until that half of play. I wouldnt be excited over the prospect of him being my QB. We'll see, could be a Romo deal in which he takes off, or he could suck, I wager on the latter!!! Face it, with the Pack blowin cheese until last year, you didnt see a rush to get him pt, although mighty Farve probably made that call.

Rodgers doesnt worry me at all!!

Yeah, I saw what he did to us in the second half when we took the second half off after kicking their teeth in in the first half. Impressive!

The Cowboys gameplanned for Favre so Rodgers just took them by surprise with his mobility. He is going to have a lot more trouble when teams actually game plan for him and take away what he likes to do.

Mostly I remember that after the game he went on IR because we beat the crap out of him.

You mean the same game where we were up by 30 and playing garbage time??

Our D always make average quarterbacks look like All-Pro's. That doesnt make them special.

Sorry Eli would have been a bust, but he had a solid season and won a Bowl, therefore that's takes him out the bust department......He's not great but he's not a bust either.....

he didn't win a bowl his defense did he just happened to be the QB just like Big Ben Trent Dilfer and hte list can go on.

I think Aaroon Rodgers will be goode and duplicate the season had because it wasn't brett it was the system at green bay.

Exagerate much?

Eli Manning, above average QB. Had a good game against us in Week 1.

Trent Green, average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 2.

Rex Grossman, average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 3.

Mark Bulger, average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 4.

Trent Edwards, average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 5.

Tom Brady, is an All Pro. Had a great game in Week 6.

Tarvaris Jackson, average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 7.

Bye week.

Donovan McNabb, above average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 9.

Eli Manning, above average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 10.

Jason Campbell, an average QB. Had a decent game against us in Week 11. Not All Pro.

Kellen Clemons, an average QB. Did not look like an All Pro in Week 12.

Brett Favre, is an All Pro. Did not have a good game against us in Week 13. Aaron Rodgers, an average QB, had a decent game. Not All Pro.

Jon Kitna, is an average QB. Had a decent game in Week 14, not All Pro.

Donovan McNabb, is an above average QB. Did not look like an All pro in Week 15.

Matt Moore, an average QB. Did not look like an All pro in Week 16.

Todd Collins, an average QB. Had a decent game against us in Week 17. Not All Pro.

Eli Manning, an above average QB. Had a decent game against us in the Divisional Playoffs. Debatable whether it was up to All Pro standards.

Where exactly is this "always?"

You lost for trying to be over technical. Eli having a good game against us doesnt change and we got alot of breaks in the second game we played them with penalties that called back plays. Campbell lit us up for damn near 350 yards. Aaron Rodgers lit us up. John Kitna was the most sacked QB in football and we couldnt touch him as he picked apart our D.

I would not be suprised to see Rodgers have very good success with GB. He has got a good arm, has good mobility and has a very good understanding of the offense having been behind Brett for the last 4 years

Again, show me "always."

You have low standards for All Pro I guess. Aaron Rodgers had 1 TD. Campbell had 2. Kitna had none. I acknowledged all of them had decent games. I wouldn't call them All Pro.

Doesn't change the fact you said "always."

Yeah that drive at the end of the game to get the touchdown was just a cheap special effect.

Not a fan of Manning, but he didn't fold like a lot of people thought he would. It probably won't last, but we're still waiting to get past the first round here (so to speak), so try keeping things in perspective. :D

A lot of QBs had pretty good games against us but our offense was all world for most of the season so most times our defense got the job done. You gotta wonder how good our defense would be if our offense didn't put up such big numbers.

Aaron Rogers played well but the Cowboys really suffered a let down when Favre went off the field hurt. I think the Packers have a good system and Rogers knows it well. It will be interesting to see how he's played once there's game film on him. You know the same game film that fans of other teams claimed would turn Romo into a ho hum QB -- never happened of course. I doubt that Rogers is a Favre though -- for better or worse.

Your Argument: average QB's always look all pro against us.

Hos's Argument: That's not true (gives examples)

All he had to do was find one instance where an average QB didn't play like an all pro to make your argument untrue. So he wins. Try to avoid using absolutes when making an argument, seldom do they hold up.

Actually only 1 QB had an "All Pro" game against us in 2007. He is an All pro and was the MVP in 2007. A couple of other QBs had decent games, but "All Pro?" No way Jose.

I'd agree with that. I personally think Jason Campbell had an excellent game because he took what we gave him and played smart most of the game, and that would be my only exception, but like you said, I wouldn't call it an "all pro" performance.

Some QBs had downright awful games against us. In fact more had awful games than had "All Pro" games even if I agree Campbell, Kitna, and Eli had "All Pro" games.

When you speak in absolutes, it is a trap.
