Some QBs had downright awful games against us. In fact more had awful games than had "All Pro" games even if I agree Campbell, Kitna, and Eli had "All Pro" games.

When you speak in absolutes, it is a trap.
When you try to make an absolute out of what you yourself called exaggeration, it's a unnecessary attempt by you to start a b.s. argument by taking my text literally.

The problem with this theory is that I did not make an absolute statement like "always" or "never."

So that is 2 theories in a row upon which you have no data to support your argument.

It's real easy, if you don't want to be taken literally you have two very easy options. One, don't speak in absolutes. Two, when caught at it, man up, don't try and spin it.

Ask Packer fans and do some research. The love this kid. He has been impressive the past two offseasons, but Bret was still there. The real world is different, so we'll see how he performs. But rest assured that the Pack like him a lot.

Once again, your lame attempt to start a debate with "absolutes", "never" and "always" is pointless.

Riiiight. I didn't use "always" or "never." So swing and miss.

You made a statement and I destroyed it. There is no debate. The only debate was, can you accept the fact that what you said was hogwash or not.

when our defense want to play it can stop almost anybody...When they shove their foot in their crapper they make Rodgers look like the next comming of Tom Brady.

Actually only 1 QB had an "All Pro" game against us in 2007. He is an All pro and was the MVP in 2007. A couple of other QBs had decent games, but "All Pro?" No way Jose.

What did I do? :D

I for one think Rodgers has a lot to prove. His lone half against Dallas did not impress me. The whole team let up. When it was time to get serious again the defense shut down Rodgers and he couldn't make the big plays when it counted.

Aaron Rodgers had a good half of football vs. Dallas and he looked pretty sharp last preseason.

But all the times I have seen play before that he was horrible. Horrible in mop up duty, horrible in preseason.

He has big shoes to fill. I doubt he lives up to his expectations.....which Packer fans around here say there will be no major dropoff.

Yeah.....right.

You lost for trying to be over technical. Eli having a good game against us doesnt change and we got alot of breaks in the second game we played them with penalties that called back plays. Campbell lit us up for damn near 350 yards. Aaron Rodgers lit us up. John Kitna was the most sacked QB in football and we couldnt touch him as he picked apart our D.

Hardly.

Campbell had over 300 yards passing, but his passer rating was around 70 or 80. Hardly "lighting us up".

He threw the ball darn near 60 times that game. He ought to have 300 yards.

Yeah, I saw what he did to us in the second half when we took the second half off after kicking their teeth in in the first half. Impressive!

interesting comments tonight from the cowboys defensive coordinator in the Green Bay Press Gazette.

In his third season, Rodgers finally played some meaningful football. After his best exhibition season and his best pro training camp, Rodgers opened some eyes with his performance in the Nov. 29 game at Dallas, which at the time was the NFC’s biggest game of the season. In relief of Favre, who left in the second quarter due to elbow and shoulder injuries, Rodgers inherited a 27-10 deficit and helped the Packers run off 14 straight points to pull within a field goal. Though the Packers lost 37-27, Rodgers completed 18-of-26 passes for 201 yards and a touchdown without an interception and posted a passer rating of 104.8. He also showed a knack for making plays with his feet, rushing five times for 30 yards.

“It’s hard to be a backup in that kind of game,” Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Brian Stewart said today. “The intensity was high. The stakes were high. And it looked like they tried to make sure they stuck with their game plan they thought they could use to beat us. They stuck with the same routes and the same stuff they were doing with Brett. That shows me that (Rodgers) was prepared and the coaches had a lot of confidence in him.

“I would be encouraged because you’ve got a guy who’s playing in a very high-stakes game who kept his cool and kept his demeanor. He knew the game plan, knew where to throw the ball and when he had to run, he took his shots.”

Stewart said he didn’t alter his defensive game plan when Rodgers entered the game.

“We got after him,” Stewart said. “I wasn’t going to back off. Our plan was to get after Favre and when Rodgers got in, we did the same thing. He handled himself well, and they’ve got to be pretty excited about that.”
