JMO -- (Plan A) If Graham or Jeanty (provided you see him as a generational back) are already gone -- trade down a little and pick up a pick in the 90-100 range.
Draft JWalker in round one and pick up Grant, DWalker, or Walter Nolen in round 2 --- whichever falls.
Use pick 76 (3rd rounder) to pick up a bell cow running back, even if he isn't the homerun guy. Just a guy that can carry the rock with good vision.
Use the 90-100 pick on a MLB. There are 3 of them that look good to me on paper....Lander Barton, Jamon Dumas-Johnson, and David Walker that I think could end up being good Mikes.
Resign Golston and Osa if possible.
Find a DC that is more innovative. That can use both 3-4 and 4-3 traits, since you will in general be in a nickel most of the time.
JWalker/Parsons as the bookend OLB/DE/9T --- (both could rush the passer or cover backs/TE, or move to Sam or Will in a 4-3 front and rush/play from there)
If you get Grant -- NT, or DWalker -- NT/3T, or Walter Nolen -- 3/5T
Justin Rogers --NT, Mazi -- NT/3/5T , Osa(?) -- 3/5T, Golston(?) -- 5T/DE
SWilliams -- OLB/DE, Kneeland -- DE/5T, Tank (?) -- DE/5T
Lots of options. Size -- yes. Speed -- yes.
Then you would only need 2 legit ILB. You have Liufau, Clark with Overshown eventually, and you drafted one of the 4th rounders to be that thumper Mike.
2-3 corners which need some ball hawking skills and a safeties with zone coverage and thumper skills would make you pretty legit.
At least it seems to me like you would be better off with this defense, than the one that has Hooker and Wilson playing man coverage on TE's.
