I know this has been discussed but I cant get over how when their offense made the shift he knew exactly what was coming and alerted the defense before the ball was snapped.

To me, thats just amazing. No doubt that he's a true leader and seriously studies film to prepare for a game.

This may happen on the field all the time for all I know and we were just lucky enough to hear him say it but I just cant get over how smart this guy is in his recognitions.

1: Its a play that is mostly used inside the 10

2: It is usually run out of a 2 back, split formation

3: The Tackle was lined up unusually wide in an attempt to pull the end/OLB out

He didnt know for a fact, but even I was sitting at home thinking "they might run a shovel pass here".

Yes - Dat made the call - rewatched it tonight. He was blown out of the play but his call alerted the other backers who closed the hole.

Props to Dat - a true veteran who has a future in this league in some capacity.

Amazing!!!

Oh and that future is with the Dallas Cowboys. You still doubting this guy? Parcells has brought in bigger linebackers and switched to a 3-4 defense, yet the Rock of Gibralter, Nguyen still remains.

But maybe it is just a coincidence....

Oh, you are really distorting the facts of the play.

Kevin Burnett blitzed on that play, Spears was engaged on his man, which left Dat the lone outside defender on the Strong Side and he had to take on a block from a pulling guard (#77 for Philly) on that play.

Most MLB would lose that battle....

I'd bet Dat has more of a future on this team than Nors has on this board.

No doubt he can challenge Romo to hold for FG's.

I think he can push Ladouceur too.

Burnett was credited with the tackle per NFL.com

Dat was blown out of the play but he alerted the other backers. It was LB that snuffed him - can't see the number.

LTN - where is the love? That was not playing nice.

I recorded the game and just re-watched that very play a second ago. It was a PULLING GUARD, #77 who knocked Dat out of a play. I dont know who the Left Guard is for the Eagles, but it was him who blocked Dat.

And I dont care what the NFL said, the tale of the tape shows Burnett blitzing Mcnabb way in the back and a gang tackle of Cowboys (too many in the play but Spears, Shanle, Williams and some others) made the tackle, Burnett came in from behind when everyone had piled on Westbrook.

Your gonna make me take a screen shot of it with my Digital Camera....

On the contrary.

Nors has a bright future with this board.

Without him, the rest of u guys would just agree with one another and have conversations about rainbows and flowers and stuff.

He should of also yelled to the defense to watch out of the 30 yard slant.

Whatever is best for the board is ok with me. LTN has me written off? Thats her opinion and I won't question it in fact embrace her opinion to want me gone. Kinda mean spirited but no ill will on my part.

Back to discussion point - It was likely Shanle that made the play, Burnett got credit on play at NFL.com.

But again all props to Dat for alerting the players to make that play.

Not only did he make the call, he stuffed the play to the inside and got his hand on the runner to slow him down for Fergi and James.

I watched the play - Dat was blown off the ball and never touched the running back. Post the play someone.

I'm giving Dat manlove for a great call - but he did not make the play....

From an earlier post, Shanle wasn't on the field during the play.

Dat got engulfed by a pulling guard, 77. However, he did get a hand up on Westbrook's shoulder pads. Couldn't tell if it slowed him down.

Looked like Fergi, James and Spears then mopped up the play.

Maybe it was James - it was LB that stuck the play. From camera angle there was no number.

Makes sense as James had what 12 tackles? Great game for him!

Dat got his hand on him first. Slowed him down just a step. Then Fergi came in and wrapped him up and stuff him at the line. Finally James finshed him off.
