I want to see that film again - Dat was blown up by an Olineman and was knocked out of play....in fact knocked backwards and down. Didn't look like he touched Rb But I may be wrong. Appears James was the tackler.....
I keep telling you that is pretty much what happened but...
Burnett blitzed, Spears was engaged, which left Dat on the strong side to take on the pulling Left Guard, #77.
Here are some pictures from my crappy Sony Cybershot DG (never buy a sony DG, at least not this one)
This is the original formation. You can see Dat in the middle and to the left is Burnett, who is just above the left shoulder of Spears.
Now notice that Burnett has sneaked up. He is almost beside Spears at Left End and he is about to blitz McNabb.
Notice 2 things in this picture. Look at #77 right where the Glare is on the screen and look to the right of the screen, where the QB is, that is Burnett blitzing.
Now notice Dat is getting off the ground after being blown up by #77, a Left Guard and even Ray Lewis loses that battle. Also notice the big gang tackle going on to the left. Burnett is not even in the play, he is still by McNabb.
Again, notice where Westbrook is and where Burnett is, which Burnett is way over by Mcnabb because he blitzed and Westbrook is to the left.
Notice to the very right of the screen where Dat is pulling himself off the ground. The Cowboy that is behind him is Kevin Burnett, who just blitzed. Notice the gang tackle to the very left, no way in HELL did Burnett make the tackle.
Im sorry if I offended anyone with this crappy Sony Cybershot. If I were paying my car off 3 years early I would buy a better one
