I want to see that film again - Dat was blown up by an Olineman and was knocked out of play....in fact knocked backwards and down. Didn't look like he touched Rb But I may be wrong. Appears James was the tackler.....

Yes - Dat made the call - rewatched it tonight. He was blown out of the play but his call alerted the other backers who closed the hole.

Props to Dat - a true veteran who has a future in this league in some capacity.

you think just adding that Dat, "is a true veteran", or, "a great team player", that it makes up for your negative spin on him? ok, whatever

you sounded a little unsure, plus you said Shanle was in on the play when in fact he wasn't even on the field at the time

Stop the hate

I said I was unsure upfront.

It was either James, Burnett or Shanle as Dat was out of play.

NFL.com gave tackle to Burnett but majority here give it to James.

Its on TV in 15 minutes and we can see....

I keep telling you that is pretty much what happened but...

Burnett blitzed, Spears was engaged, which left Dat on the strong side to take on the pulling Left Guard, #77.

Here are some pictures from my crappy Sony Cybershot DG (never buy a sony DG, at least not this one)

dap1.jpg

This is the original formation. You can see Dat in the middle and to the left is Burnett, who is just above the left shoulder of Spears.

dap3.jpg

Now notice that Burnett has sneaked up. He is almost beside Spears at Left End and he is about to blitz McNabb.

dap4.jpg

Notice 2 things in this picture. Look at #77 right where the Glare is on the screen and look to the right of the screen, where the QB is, that is Burnett blitzing.

dap5.jpg

Now notice Dat is getting off the ground after being blown up by #77, a Left Guard and even Ray Lewis loses that battle. Also notice the big gang tackle going on to the left. Burnett is not even in the play, he is still by McNabb.

dap6.jpg

Again, notice where Westbrook is and where Burnett is, which Burnett is way over by Mcnabb because he blitzed and Westbrook is to the left.

dap7.jpg

Notice to the very right of the screen where Dat is pulling himself off the ground. The Cowboy that is behind him is Kevin Burnett, who just blitzed. Notice the gang tackle to the very left, no way in HELL did Burnett make the tackle.

Im sorry if I offended anyone with this crappy Sony Cybershot. If I were paying my car off 3 years early I would buy a better one :).

you said he was blown out of the play...WRONG

the fact is, the only way he was considered to be blown up, was #77 throwing him to the ground, but that happened AFTER he placed a hand on Westbrook, so he was very much in the play

but keep spinning your wheels Nors, you poor soul

Dat got blown out of the play?

Dat took on the block and closed the hole. HE DID HIS JOB.

Don't bother trying to get this across to Nors. You can't cure stupidity.

Whatever is best for the board is ok with me. LTN has me written off? Thats her opinion and I won't question it in fact embrace her opinion to want me gone. Kinda mean spirited but no ill will on my part.

Back to discussion point - It was likely Shanle that made the play, Burnett got credit on play at NFL.com.

But again all props to Dat for alerting the players to make that play.

Incredible. You never give up. Was Shanle even on the field??

I'm not trying to be mean, but Nors is so delusional, his man-love for SHanle goes so far as to imagine him making a play

I watched the play - Dat was blown off the ball and never touched the running back. Post the play someone.

I'm giving Dat manlove for a great call - but he did not make the play....

...I wish you would stop posting things where you think you have a monopoly on the truth. Calico has been generous enough to provide this board with replay video and if you watch carefully Dat is not completely "blown" out of the play because he takes on Hicks as part of his assignment.

Not only does he engage a much larger man and fill the gap, but he also clearly in the video gets his hand on Westbrook.

Yes, you may have been giving props to Dat, but you clearly posted an opinion on this forum that had no factual basis supported by video.

This is how you piss people off! Don't post opinions as facts! The actions of a player during a game is fact, not opinion.
