We should file a complaint with our local board of education because our high school history teachers apparently lied to us about Abraham Lincoln, if we're to believe the new film about the former president being a vampire hunter. The 16th President of the United States knew martial arts. He was incredibly graceful at doing a jumping roundhouse kick while beheading bloodsuckers with his ax. His mother didn’t die from tremetol. She died from vampires, causing her son to go on a vamp-killing spree. Also, did you know he single handedly stopped the Confederate Army (who were all vampires) with weapons from the White House kitchen? Oh, and let’s not forget that the great emancipator also had a hidden gun in the butt of his trusty ax that fires silver bullets.

Yes, those are all elements of "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" and no, this movie is not a comedy.

I guess I missed my history class the day this was taught. :laugh2:

When i first saw the first trailers for the movie, I did a double take. Apparently, nothing is sacred. Perhaps we can look forward to him taking out the cast of the "Twilight" movies.

i read the book. it was actually pretty entertaining.

That is total BS, everyone knows that Ulysses S. Grant played a role in that. :laugh1:

BTW, the movie trailers make Lincoln look very glamorous and polished compared to how he was characterized in the book.

There was a book? :laugh2: Please tell me the book was not titled American History. :laugh2:

I also did not know my ancestors where vampires since they fought for the Confederate Army. Makes me part vampire, now I'm scared of myself. :laugh2:

You seem almost offended?
It's a movie.

Don't bite yourself. You'll get a paradoxical reaction.;)

:laugh2: I guess the combination of being part vampire and a bath salt user is a bad mix.

Not to mention I might have to remove garlic from my diet.

This movie looks so awful it's not even funny... actually it is funny.

It may be worth watching if Abe was not the vampire killer.

I guess next up is Washington the mummy killer. :laugh2:

I've actually been wanting to see this... looks entertaining...

I partly agree except adding Abe to it just seems over the top. Be sure to catch Thomas Jefferson Werewolf charmer. :laugh2:

Me too.

Also, not sure if serious mr. OP. Are you actually mad they portrayed Lincoln this way?

Not how they portrayed him or even the fact they used Abe. I just think when it comes to horror movies using real people of history is a just a bit over the top. They could have used any other famous person in history and I would feel the same. Gandhi the Vampire killer. :laugh2:

It's amazing what some film companies will give the green light to.

Oh, and it's the second colossal bomb in a row for one Tim Burton - I guess folks are tired of the oddball stuff, huh?

When nobody goes to see this, they don''t have the right to be surprised.

I love that it's not a comedy, I'll watch it on Netflix. at first it thought it was terrible but every trailer got better and more over the top!

TE book is by the same guy that wrote pride and prejudice and zombies.

Whoo hooo

Cant wait to fit this in when we do our American Hero Unit in school.
