Recap: According to Fish, Cowboys likely to pass on Earl Thomas

Should be a real red flag for him that we are passing. He shouldnt be expensive, we chased him at one point, and it looks the FS we signed in FA isnt working out.

We have every reason to be all over this. If we pass on, that should be clear evidence that there is too much going on with Thomas

There must be serious issues behind the scenes. A franchise like Baltimore has had their share of combustible players and never have release any of them until Earl Thomas, There has been some rumblings over the last 24 hours that it isn't just off the field, read a report that he was shying away from contact which angered some of his teammates/coaches. If the Cowboys do indeed pass, I believe he will be reunited with Sherman in SFO.

MaCarthy putting his stamp on the team, clearly from listening to yesterdays' press conference,I got the feeling that MaCarthy really didn't want Earl Thomas, especially when McCarthy talked about the safety position as being a interchangable, something I've talked about for years now, no longer is there a free and strong safety in todays passing happy league, both safeties have to cover and stop the run equally well...

Jerry just said on 105.3 that they are not confirming they have no interest in ET. Said hes hasn't talked to him yet! Sooo idk. Lol he said Rapoport doesn't know what hes talking about

Here's a player, two years ago, we were willing to give a high draft pick AND give him a top contract. Now he available w/o the draft pick, likely fairly cheap AND we need him even more now but if reports are true we're passing. I'm trusting FO/MM decision here 100%.......he's not a good here at this time.
