What perplexing is that the team quitting is just the cherry on a giant crap sundae this team made last year, yet we see very few changes coming. 90% of the personnel will be back. Most of the coaches will be back, except for 2, one of whom was in effect replaced well before the Philly game.

So in reality, the only major difference between the team that embarrassingly quit in Philly and didn't make the playoffs vs. the one that takes the field come September is a new ST coach.

Didn't suggest that, at all. Don't particularly give a rat's patootie about Philly and their injuries.

Just saying the "no excuses" mantra around here is a bit idiotic when injuries were indeed a factor in the team's performance.

I think we can all agree that the players gave a piss-poor effort in the Philly game, injured or not. However, from a retrospective look back at the season, I just don't see how one can't get that injuries were a factor in how the team played and adjustments they had to make.

That was the first thing I thought when I read this thread subject.


There may have been 53 Dallas Cowboys in Philadelphia on that particular game day, but it was very hard to tell there was a professional football team lined up against the Eagles.

The Cowboys quit after the two big runs in the Ravens game, the Philly game was just something on the schedule, but we didn't really show up to play.

I don't think they quit in the Balt game. They just tackled and executed poorly at the end of the game. Conditioning comes to mind as well as piss poor tackling and execution. If you want to add heart I won't mind.

Yes, the Ravens did have a larger number of total injuries, but only a handful of the them were starters, and none of them were as important to their team as Romo is to ours, so it's not exactly a worthwhile comparison.
