Dude. You keep acting like Romo was 'Tom Brady Injured'.

The kid missed three games and we won 1 of them.

He played the final 7 games and we still went 4-3.
All that matters is if we lost one game because of his injury. That's the difference between being in the playoffs and not.

Depends on when, exactly, you're saying they quit in the second half. Cause it was pretty clear on their first couple of drives, where they drove down field and got inside the 30 and then inside the 5, before the offense fumbled the ball away that the offense hadn't quit at that point.

I'm sure once those two fumbles were returned for TDs, and it was obviously that only picture perfect play all around, the rest of the way, was going to get them back into the ball game that they most likely did give up there.

Sucks that they did, it shouldn't ever happen, but I'm sure it happened at that point.

I agree, when it looked like Dallas had something going, to then turn it over and see it returned for the TD I think that took any wind out of the sails that the team may have had.

Dude, you seem incapable of grasping he was playing at far less than 100%.

We played 4-3 ball with him 'back' and 1-2 with him out. Add that up real quick there. That's 5 of the 7 losses we suffered all year.

Add in another lose to the Cards in the game he was hurt.

That's 6 of the losses occurring after he initially injured his hand.

Arguing this stuff is pointless but continuing to act as if last year was just some average season injury-wise is an insult to everyone's intelligence.

Barber, Witten, Romo, Felix were all injured at the end of the year. Noticeably so. That 4-3 against top teams wasn't bad at all until the meltdown in Philly.
But even our dynasty Cowboys had meltdowns in Philly. That's not a place we can limp in and be competitive.

Not sure why it is so hard to grasp that everyone on offense who does anything involving skill except T.O. was injured. On defense we were healthy except at safety where we were down to the 4th guy that couldn't even make an opening day roster.

I don't think they quit in the Balt game. They just tackled and executed poorly at the end of the game. Conditioning comes to mind as well as piss poor tackling and execution. If you want to add heart I won't mind.
Don't let common sense deceive you. The Cowboys just played a full 3 and half quarters of defensive football, while the offense did nothing, and just decided to quit... Maybe it had to do with a factors like being on the field too long, causing them to get blown off the ball. And who was it that made them stay on the field so long?

The way Philly beats our ***** late in the season every year speaks volumes to the problems we have.

Let us not forget that the team got out of hand while the Cowboys, on the play of Romo, Witten and TO, in high-gear were moving the ball down the field against the Eagles, only to come up dry with stupid TOs that resulted in 14 quick points by the Eagles. This is what ultimately caused the situation to get totally out of hand. The Eagles game actually reflected more of a trend of the lack of consistency in our offensive game-planning. Our high-paced offense that negates Jason garrett relying on talent moves the ball is rather successful, but it doesn't allow us to establish any consistency hurting this team in the long-run. This is exactly why our offense becomes turn-over prone and Romo forces some bone-headed INTs. The tempo is such that Romo has to buy time with his feet and make plays on his own. The coaching does him no benefits and this is why the etam ultimately fails in the long run. The best thing this team can do in the off-season is actually address the run-game as a means to control the clock, establish tempo, and force the coverages up. The Philly game was just the final manifestation of our flaws in coaching.

I absolutely agree that one of our biggest issues is relying too heavily on a pass happy offense. Our O-Line simply isn't good enough, especially down the stretch of seasons, to keep Romo clean enough to pass as much as they want to.

I'm really hoping that this season we'll see them effectively use our 3 backs to create a much better ball control offense that allows this offense to work in high gear.

When it was 17-3 it was still a game. We drove down the field twice, only to have them both go the other way for 6. 31-3 very well could've been 17-17. But our guys were heartless in December, they would've found someway to lose that game.

say we win that 1 game

we still get blown out in Philly

we make the playoffs

are you certain that Dallas doesn't get bumped out of the playoffs just as easily? you know, like we're prone to do
