According to you, what is our most glaring need?

I keep seeing posts of people wanting a new FS in the 1st round, but I don't think replacing Hamlin is our most glaring need. I think we need a 3-4 DT and depth behind our o-line starters. Age is becoming a factor there and we're one injury away from disaster if Ratliff gets injured. I want to go for a DT in the 1st round. But I can also see us drafting another corner. It seems to me we have enough safeties. JMO

What is your most glaring need?

OL, by far.

So would you go with BPA in the first round or just cut to the chase and draft an offensive lineman? If so, what position would you draft for and who would you target?

I don't think Dallas is in critical need situation. I do think we should address the OLine due to age along the line and I think we should look at upgrading areas like safety.

To me, corner back is a more glaring need than safety. If Newman or Jenkins goes down, we rely on Scandrick... which sort of scares me. I wouldn't be surprised to see us go after another corner.

Kicker is the most obvious glaring need, but that can be addressed....so i assume you mean draft needs.

So I would say OL dept...those that have the potential to star very soon.
Next is a ball-hawking safety
Next are ILB and DE
CB depth

It really depends, everything is confusing since it's pre-combine and no one has any official numbers right now. If there's a superstar at 27, you have to take him regardless of position. I'm torn on Iupati in the first round, his combine performance will make/break him as a first rounder. I like Ducasse in the 2nd and Veldheer in the third right now.

I lean more towards safety. I like our O-Line for the most part. We scored quite a few points and stopped points from being allowed, but interceptions was something lacking.

I would not mind picking up a CB in this draft I think Dallas is in a good situation right now where we do not have to look strictly at position. If a guy like Brandon Spikes were to fall to 27 I would have no issue taking him. Main thing do not reach for players.

Offensive tackle should be the #1 need by FAR. We are old and slow at the position (not including Free).

That would be lunacy if our 1st round graded Olineman were already gone. I think you'll agree, that is the quickest way for a team to dig a future hole is draft for position only...or maybe to trade away their draft picks for overrated players. :p:

So between our four safeties who started games for us (Sensabaugh, Hamlin, Watkins, Ball) they all four COMBINED for 1 INT and 0 FFs on the season.

Four top safties on the depth chart combining to force 1 turnover in the course of 16 games. Not only do we have the worst set of playmaking safeties currently in the NFL, that might seriously be an All Time NFL Record. And this is behind 2 All Pro pass rushers and one up and comer forcing early decisions and bad throws.

Just because you have bodies on the roster, that doesn't mean you're "set".
