Accountability: Fellow Fans that 1 word *Merge*

I agree WV.

I am worried that the Cowboys players buy into this "we gave the game away" or "the opponent just got the lucky bounces", as opposed to admitting they got beat because the other team made more plays then they did.

When the going gets rough, Wade Phillips is not a figure you can rally around and this team doesn't have a strong leader to step up and lead inspite of Wade Phillips.

I think people are pretending to know what is going on in the locker room. No one is being held accoutable please tell me how you know this or is this just an opinion

You may as well shut this board down, if this isn't going to occur.

I also fear that our players are somehow still living off of glory past.

They seem to still think, "We are the Dallas Cowboys ", no matter what they have done lately.

Plus they still are "rock stars" where ever they go, .. they still play in the "Palace in Dallas", the most fabulous venue in all of sports, and they still get in their $80,000 vehicles and drive home to their $500,000 mansions even if they lose.

We need a young, hungry, firey, eager to prove his worth, up and coming coach, .. instead of always going out and getting other teams retreads.

Or at least someone that is as big to the football world as Romo is. hint hint (cower) hint hint. My fear with a young coach is that Romos is still a superstar. We need someone romo and the rest of the team will respect from go. Singletary made an example out of a player or two, and they are giving their all. It may not hold up do to talent, but a good d and a running game, i will not be shocked if they win the NFC WEST.

Coach Tomlin made an interesting statement after Pitts victory over the Tenn
he stated the most violent team usually wins, You can see an aggressive style of play, in the Championship teams, Look what the cardinals did to the Cowboys last year,

if you would shut down all the pointless whining and bs amateur psychology, the board would probably be a lot better. It was a lot more interesting when people focused on a more reality based analysis.

Not saying people do not have a right to pretend. :laugh2:

Actually, this forum is the BEST Cowboys forum on the Internet, precisely because people are allowed to play Dr. Phil on the Internet ;) .

because the same things keep happening. So either 1) its not being addressed or 2) players dont respect who is addressing them because they know there will be no repercussions.

That word "accountability" has become the most overused nebulous cliche on the board.

We have played 2 games this season. We ditched problem players I would consider that an eye opener for a lot of players when the likes of TO, Pacman, Williams, Ellis and Tank were sent packing and no it is not the same thing happening, we lost and we have fans who can't deal with it as normal and over react to every single thing.

Dallas lost I get that, will it be that way all season? I don't know neither do you or the other critics. If this continues and this team ends up out of the post season then chances are more changes will be coming as of now no Dallas is not going to start firing players and coaches because some fans have their panties in a wad.

No, issues are mostly different... No pass rush and giving up big plays consistently.

The only thing so far the same is horrendous looking INTs and no turnovers from the D.

is the problem. This team wants to win (im sure of that) but they dont hate losing. They dont hate mistakes. Why? There is no one to answer to. Does this team have anyone with a mean streak. On one side of the coin I understand the "its one game approach" but on the other side its one game that we should not have lost. A game that is important to win just like the rams game last year. You cant give away 1 game in this league.

Just look:

Wade-softer than a new born box of puppies
Romo- Win some you lose some demeanor (even if thats not his feelings that is what he gives off)
D Ware- Beast on the field but he wont get in anyones face. Nice guy
Newman- Nice guy
Davis-Nice guy
Bradie James-Nice guy
Ratliff-Nice Guy
Barber-Nice Guy

I swear Columbo is the only one with a mean streak and he doesnt have the clout or the position to be that guy. I was against it at first but I wish we would have signed Ray Lewis. Someone who keeps everyone at attention.

Who holds people accountable for blown assignments and careless turnorvers. NO ONE.

Listen to some of those player interviews and come back and apologise for such a dumb post.

you are totally over reacting to what I said. I dont think this is gloom and doom. I think we will still think we will be 8-2/7-3 after 10 games, but I think we have to be to make the playoffs. That is why I hate giving up games b/c of carelessness, and inconsistency, and lack of focus. Things that have plagued us for years. We have the talent (contrary to what norm says) to be elite. We will win a lot of games based on that talent, but we have already lost 1 because of a lack of discipline.

So when they made a big deal that the Eagles do this and they have complied a SB win of 0, does that make keeping it going year after year a reason why we lose? Accountability? Really? :lmao2::lmao2:

We gotta know what it says about the TEAM? You know what it says, nothing, its the second game of the season and id rather have my problems now and fix them than have them in december and not fix them. When the Giants lose their first game are people going to get off their bandwagon? No, they will say all the right things and think all the right things.

Its the second game and if i have to suffer my losses now, so the team can fix them, I am all for it. There is no problem with a 2 point loss to a playoff contenious team than if it had been the Rams.

GET OVER IT!!!!

1) I have heard this, I listen daily. 2) Its lip service until its fixed I have heard it all before. 3) How are you going to call me dumb or my post DUMB and you cant spell apologize. Maybe you need to focus on hooked on phonics instead of calling some one you don not know dumb.

ps..hurry, you have time to edit it.

You think I give a rats *** about a misspelled word?

Your post is still dumb.

Winning cures all. Once we start winning than we are full of leaders, full of accountable players, and all that garbage the media wants to make up so fans like you can take the bate...grrrr.... bait.

its only cliche' because players/coaches use the term, but dont do anything about it. There is nothing wrong with the term itself. Only one team can win the superbowl per year, but talented and focused teams dont constantly lose games to teams they should beat.

This has nothing to do with media, and winning does not cure all. It may mask some issues, but it does not cure all. I would be saying the same even if we pulled out a victory on Sunday.
