And wether JJ is a liar, a selfish narcissist... whatever he is. That time he was honest and true.
That and "dead coaching contracts" are examples of him being painfully honest and how it hurts the franchise.

Wow...Stephen talking about the lack of state taxes. LOL. He is going to get absolutely worked on these contracts by these agents or completely screw them up....probably both.
Plenty of other teams that play in states without income tax, and who the hell is he pitching this to? A player or CEO of some other company?

Honestly, any player that can’t get by on $250M isn’t going to get by on the surplus gained from a lack of state income tax. That’s about the lamest sales pitch I’ve heard.

Stephen is talking like the other end of the table isn’t represented by multiple people whose best interest it is to not concede a single cent.

Where are all the people that don’t understand cash vs cap?

There is a reason Schefter mentions cash..and no they’re not cash poor

Every team having the same cap doesn’t factor into the CASH necessary to sign big name players

The biggest sporting franchise in the world has a massive CASH advantage over every other team in the league and refuses to use it

It’s gotta be Purdy. Dude is 17-4 as a starter, NFL record in completion %, highest career td%, highest career average yards per attempt, best alltime passer rating BY A MILE once he qualifies… And the majority online opinion is “Oh he just has good weapons, anyone would be STATISTICALLY THE GREATEST QB EVER if they had Mccaffrey and Kittle.”

Not to mention the fact that it only applies to home games and they have to pay taxes in any other state they play in

It’s a total joke dude

I see what you are saying but my reservation regarding him is he has Shanahan, THE BEST offensive mind in the NFL other than Andy Reid. Also, the fact he struggled a couple of games last season with Deebo out. In other words, would he be as good w/o Shanahan.....I'm not sure.

I agree he wouldn’t be, but we also know Goff would not be nearly as good if you stripped him of his weapons. Yet Goff is commonly a top 10 QB in people’s lists, and Purdy is no where to be seen… despite the fact that Purdy has been significantly better than Goff both years he’s been in the league

We also saw a lot of Garoppolo in this offense, and while he won too, he was not nearly as good doing it

I’ve lost so much respect for Jerry, he is a boneheaded when it comes to managing a roster, but he’s so arrogant he thinks he a genius. Been like that for a few decades now. Sure he’s a good business man as far as marketing, but when it comes to maximizing money with contracts and managing a roster, he’s a joke. He far too narcissistic to ever realize this though.

It seems the national media is no longer what Jerry is selling........

NFL radio hosts on Sirius radio...were singing their praises today. Talked about great drafts...gave McClay a lot of credit...they also said Jerry has dragged his feet on Dak so that he can move on from him and MM if they have a bad year.
