I bet Houston is kicking themselves for signing Brock Osweiler. They have 2 good receivers a good running back and a good defense would have been a great spot for Romo. But they're an idiot organization they turned down Peyton Manning before so they always screw up. They could have drafted Derek Carr too but refused to even look at him because of his brother.
wow. You're right. That would've been an outstanding match.

A strong defense, with one of the best players in the league returning.
Lamar Miller
Maybe the best young WR group in the NFL
DeAndre Hopkins
Will Fuller
Jalen Strong
Braxton Miller

Romo on the Texans would be scary, I would say almost instant contender.

Then we can have a Cowboys v Texans Super Bowl with Romo on the Texans, what a trip.

Texans really make a ton of sense if they could swing it financially.

For Romo:
1.)Romo could keep his family in place
2.)instant contender
3.)weak division
and it gets him out of the NFC for Dallas

He will almost certainly be going to an AFC team, I see him trying to get to Denver. Denver + Romo is an instant Super Bowl contender. Buffalo will probably be attractive to him as well, heck all 3 AFC East teams that don't have Brady would be. Though there is another obvious answer to this question, if the Cowboys get to the Super Bowl and he starts playing again and gets to start in the Super Bowl... he might not play anywhere next year announcing his retirement before the Super Bowl.

Romo won't be traded. He'll be a designated June 1st cut as this gives us a much more flexible cap position.

If he decides to play on, I can't see him commanding a high salary due to his age and injury history. More likely a modest base with incentives.

He won't have a queue of championship contenders looking for him either. Will likely end up as an interim starter on a QB starved team or filling in for a starter who cannot start the 2017 season due to injury.

I could see him ending up somewhere like Cleveland or NY Jets.

If he plays, it will be because he loves playing or because his agent has advised him to get one final payday. Will be buyer beware.

We made the mistake of letting Ware go for nothing....we won't repeat that with Romo

We will do a sign and trade if he wants to leave and start...he is worth a first, minimum

Something rarely discussed... if released, would he pull a Favre and don the red and gold of a hated division rival?

This or Minnesota makes the most sense.

Minnesota has some good young WR's, nice defense, Adrian Petersen

Don't forget that players are employees, not fans. They don't hate rivals like fans do - the 49ers are just another prospective employer.

I was talking Commanders. Guess I should've said burgundy lol

Dont see why he wouldnt if he wants to win. Buffalo has a very good line, elite HB and very talented WR corps. Buffalo with Romo could steal that division from NE
Buffalo's line sucks at pass blocking and their receivers are garbage lol

Romo should probably retire if he can't go to a team that has everything but a QB in place already. If he's not going for a last shot at a championship, why bother? Stats are irrelevant to his legacy at this point and he's insanely wealthy already.

I think that rules out the trash teams that need a QB. The Bills are coached by a buffoon, the Bears and Jets are trash, the 49ers are a trash fire, and so on.

The Texans and the Broncos have to be the only appealing options at this point. Both are teams with practically everything but a good QB. The Texans have the easiest path to the playoffs every year, but the Broncos are the better team and are a really well run organization in general now.

e: Or maybe the Chiefs if they dump Alex Smith.

I forgot about Arizona, but their pass protection is awful this year - he's #3 in the league in sacks taken. Romo going there would be a disaster.

Cards if Palmer hangs it up and they get the line healthy again

Also, the Jets aren't that much a trash fire if they have Romo. But true, not as appealing the Texans, Broncos, Cards, or Chiefs.
