Great post. Bringing up TO isn't something out of left field, watch any sports TV and it is being brought up all the time. How it will be tough to replace TO's production, Roy Williams is a bust, etc, etc, etc.

Something that TO, you, me, my mailman, the lady behind the gas station counter, and the stray cat walking around my neighborhood is that none of us have Super Bowl rings. So for the media to doubt we can win a super bowl without him is like telling the Steelers they didn't really win. He was productive in '07, and it would be hard to duplicate those numbers, but his '08 numbers are hardly anything to worry about. Even if you don't like Roy, you can't expect him to play 16 games at the same level he did last year, and then include the improve production from last year from Austin, Bennett, and Felix, and I think replacing TO's numbers is easily do-able.

Again, great post, Hos.

 I mean't to ask what program do you use to make stuff like that.

There's a very simple way: Press the 'print screen' key on your computer, and then open a paint file.

Here's the step by step:

1) Access the image you want to copy.

2) Press the 'Print Screen' button on your keyboard.

3) Open Paint.

4) Paste the image.

Mostly a combination of Word, Excel, Paint, Paint.NET, Image Composer, Gif Animator, sometimes Photoshop, etc. for images. Pinnacle, Windows Movie Maker, VideoLAN, Any Video Converter, etc. for videos.

Great post.

But I am under no delusions of the Cowboys doing better than last year.
I have gone over the reasons many times before.

This team, like you wrote, is stocked with 100% prime beef/prime time celebrity players.

But they are soft. They believe they are better than they are. No one in the organization inspires fear in them except Jerra. But Jerra is no coachm so they can laugh.
And they don't fear coming in to practice after a loss. . . .
They know that Wade will shrug it away and promise to do better. Manana.
These Cowboys allow themselves to be kicked and abused and humiliated, sometimes by a few points, sometimes by 30 points in December.

No, this team will not, cannot, be better than last year. It will be a downward spiral of personalities and halfassed effort and a timidity fostered and copied from Wade the NFL clown.

I would not care if the Clown Wade coached in Cleveland or Oakland or Cincinnati.
But this mere crumb of a football coach is HC of the most glamorous, the most well-known and envied team on the planet.

Does this HC make sense to you fans?
IS THIS THE BEST THE COWBOYS CAN DO?
If it is, it's gonna be a long century.

You remember when me and Hos went at it about 2 months ago? How can you possibly remember a post that had nothing to do with you that's 2 months old? Oh that's right you don't have a life.

How proud you must be. Going at it.

Hey, I hate Hos too.

Hos, do you here that? I hate you.

Correction Gimme, were soft. No one, not me, you, Miss Cleo, Jimmy the Greek, Nostradamus, nor Bertha the Hurricane call girl, can predict whether they will be soft again in 2009 with any degree of certainty.

I loved T.O. but business is business and he clearly lost a step and was not producing last year. Romo was forcing the ball to him as well. Not a good combo.

Embrace the hatred I always say.

I'd hate ya right back but then you might not invite me to the next big event in Farmer's Branch. The shun could send me over the edge.

Yer right, no one can predict.

But patterns and quitting (and making mistakes) in December can carry over. And this soft demeanor -- the lack of a killer instinct -- can carry over into the next season.

Certainly, no one can predict. But, based on patterns and personalities, there can be reasonable room for doubt they will suddenly change.
Now, as you will see in this graph I have prepared . . . . .

Please tell me you are kidding. This "mere crumb" has turds after his Golden Corral dinner that know more about football than 95% of us.

I think that it's reasonable to assume that player attitudes will improve due to the compositional changes. Everything is undeniably progressing towards the workman-like end of the behavioral continuum.

However, it is also reasonable to make the assumption that a veteran head coach's attitude, temperament and effectiveness will not change materially from prior years. He's not wired that way. After a knee-jerk save-your-job kind of pronouncement that he'd finally be getting tough, he immediately back tracked and confessed that it wasn't really in his nature to be firm.

Yes, I am. It will come out at the end of this season so that it recounts 50 years of Cowboys History. I am currently trying to negotiate the use of the team pictures for the book. Wish me luck.

I can pose in a dallas cowboys thong for the inside cover, I am sure if you tell them that it could grease the wheels a bit in the negotiations.

Very good post, I was not a fan of TO post Cowboy, and was hoping that when he became a member of the team he would equal Superbowls, but it didnt happen. He contriubuted to the circus last year, just like some other players who are no longer here. I do feel that Roy Williams and Witten, Crayton etc. can put up some nice numbers. We may not roll like we did in 07 but we should still have a very good offense.
