Tell me again what round the last "bell cow" back we had was drafted in? You know the one that got the tough yard and allowed us to make big plays in the passing game

I think the Cowboys made the right decision on Murray. They didn't fill that spot good enough. McFadden was solid but certainly not a guy I would count on. I think ideally he is best as a reserve back and a guy who can fill in if your starter gets hurt. I would prefer other veterans to him though. Guys who probably will not break the bank. Although they are familiar with McFadden.

I am also not a fan of taking a back in round one and not sure I would take Henry at the top of round two. With that being said, the Cowboys found a strategy that worked with Murray about having a back who could control the clock and allow Tony to make more big plays in the passing game. Being without Tony this year caused a lot of things to go wrong, but lets also not think Tony being healthy will solve all our issues.

We need some fresh blood no doubt.......Middle round pick please.....Kenyan Drake, Dunbar, Mcfadden :D

Hold off until 2017....That class is gonna be loaded w/ high class RBs:dance:

I would like Drake as a Dunbar replacement.

Why? He did a really good job last year.

He is the only RB I would consider in the 1st round. I would not consider another RB until the 3rd round.

agree and after Jerry missed on Gurley last year I dont think he will let that happen again.

Zeke, McFadden, and Dunbar should be exciting

I don't think Murray was the reason we controlled the clock in 2014.

Yards per Rush
Murray (2014) 4.7
McFadden (2015) 4.6

3rd or 4th down, 1-2 yards to go

Murray (2014) 17 of 24 -- 71%
McFadden (2015) 13 of 16 -- 81%

Time of Possession
Avg 2014 drive -- 3:02 (2nd in NFL)
Avg 2015 drive -- 3:00 (3rd in NFL)

You put even a moderately talent RB behind this offensive line and they'll make yards and control the clock.

Murray did it.
McFadden did it.

Miller can do it.
Ivory can do it.

There are more NFLers I'm sure.

And there are a few college backs that can do the same... college backs that can be gotten in the 3rd round if necessary.

There's comes be a time when some business decisions are going to have to be made.. Pay our Line or pay a QB and RB.. We started last year by letting Murray go. And Romo well... 2 years max shelf life.

Just curious, but why would Dallas offer Miller the money that was offered to Murray last season? Miller's production does not even match nor does it comes close to Murray's production in 2014.

I dont want Miller but if the team does offer him a contract it should be on the same level of McFadden or slightly above that.

Because Miami barely uses miller. We overused Murray. Did I not make a valid enough argument? If yiu don't think miller behind this line would be incredible your delusional. Miller may be the leading rusher behind this line. And yes I'm serious

We not spending money on expensive RB Free Agents. Look who's the RB are for the Final 4.. Nobodies and a rookie for Arizona.

I don't know if I'd call Jonathan Stewart who is a former first rounder a nobody but I get your point ;)
