Trade back.............get a WR and a RB with the first two picks? That has to be the worst draft strategy I could ever imagine.

But I don't see how you think that's such a bad strategy. With Treadwell and Henry you're getting 2 dynamic offensive players that, if they aren't complete busts, would make our offense the best in the league with a healthy Romo. Then you're picking up 2 defensive players in the 3rd round that would likely contribute. Then you possibly get your QB of the future with Hoagn. Not only is it not the worst draft strategy you could ever imagine, it should be a dream scenario. I guess you're among the crowd that thinks Romo will never play another sanp again and we should draft a QB with the 4th pick?

With a healthy Romo? Big big maybe at this point. And we have one of the best offenses in the league last year and how far did that get us? And that was without Treadwell. If offense is the problem, its the backup/future QB. Romo is on his way out, downside, whatever you want to call it. Do yourself a favor and think about 2 or 3 years down the road. Without a good QB, this team cant do anything. WR is certainly not the problem on offense. Taking treadwell, who is no stretch the field burner anyway, is just making a position of strength that much stronger. If Romo goes down, the pick is virtually useless. Besides, this team needs to be more run oriented, not pass oriented. We saw that last year.

Now I do like taking a RB?...........Absolutely. But definitely not this high. Maybe a 3rd round guy. That #4 pick is gold. Your either taking one of 4 positions with that pick:

1. QB of the future
2. top end pass rusher/Stud DT
3. Top cover corner
4. Bookend LT

WR and RB are as far down on the list as you can get that high. If the guy was Calvin Johnson? Maybe you take him. Treadwell isnt even close.

Stats are stats. How about this one. Dallas was 12-4 with Murray on the Roster in 2014, 4-12 without him.

Another one , and maybe even the most telling stat , at this point. No SuperBowls with Rowdy as the Mascot.....

Im tellin ya, I think it all boils down to that "thing" they have running around AT&T, creeping people out and scaring kids...if we get rid of Rowdy, I bet we make a SuperBowl...

I blame Rowdy.

I tend to agree that it's not the best strategy. 3rd rounders might contribute, but they might not either. This defense needs as big a talent infusion as the offense. I think taking Henry in Round 2 would be a total waste. I guess I can live with Treadwell but frankly, I'd rather spend the first two picks on defense, then find a competent #2 WR in free agency like an Alshon Jeffrey or Reuben Randle.

Offer Lamar Miller the same contract we were going to give Demarco and call it a day. A 1-2 punch of him and McFadden would be deadly. Miller was underused and doesn't have a lot of mileage compared to other backs coming into FA. He also has home run speed, can catch, great in pass protection and can grind out yards and tire out defenses. Hes literally a better version of Murray. Give him the 6 mil a year and don't look back.

I'd do it if I were the Cowboys. That will free us up from drafting a running back.
