What if he's cheap? You're telling me he won't be better than DMC or Morris?

Why are AP, DMC, and Morris our only options?

32 year old backs with 2400 carries and two lost seasons due to injury are generally bad investments, regardless of their name recognition.

Because we're rolling with a vet, at least one anyway.

AD isn't human. I'm well aware of the statistics involving backs, but he is the outlier.

He could easily duplicate Fortes success this year behind our line.

Can't believe there's fans wanting us to sign an old washed up RB, especially when we have one of the best in the league.

His 72 yards rushing in 2016 does not indicate he is an outlier. That is the kind of season 30 year old running backs have.

Forte signed a 3 year 12 million deal with 9 million guaranteed. I would imagine Peterson would be in that range if not 5 million a year. I rather spend that money elsewhere. Only way I would say yes to Peterson if the deal fell somewhere between 1 million and 2.5 million per season. Anymore isnt worth it.

WTH. Both Charles and Peterson are players l have always admired but both are near the end and the Cowboys don't need them. Beware of used RB's.

No I don't want to spend a **** load of money on an old RB when we have the best in the league already.

Geezus.

Sounds like you want to run our workhorse until his legs fall off in four or five years rather than spread the load, thereby extending his career. It's not smart to do as you want. This is a wealthy team that prides itself in a superior running game. Extending the careers of all our RBs should be a welcomed goal but ignorance like yours would have the great talent we have in Ezekiel Elliott worn out and no good to us prematurely. No thank you to your wasteful ideology.

I thank you for helping me see the light. As always, you are a fountain of logic and football savvy.

You're totally correct. Signing Adrian Peterson would be the best way to allocate the team's limited resources.

I feel so foolish for how I thought.

Your sarcasm is appreciated. I know we aren't signing Peterson. He would be a luxury more than a need.

Very productive until 2013. Failure since. Just say no. Actually hell no.

Zeke is going to get plenty of carries.

He's also going to find himself on the bench in meaningless games like he did last year... Games that cost him a shot at a once in a lifetime record (only a rookie once).

Also if Zeke wants to leave our offense... There will be 5 guys willing to step into his place on this offense behind this line.

And how does this help us? How does this constitute value, should that occur or should we have to consider 5 new guys? More importantly, how does that relate to AD signing here? I don't follow?

Needed him back when we lost Murray. Don't need him now unless would could sign him and then immediately trade him for a great DE.
